CHAPTER I
WAEROLE CAPE (BATU LUBANG) AND PULAU TIGA NEGERI ASILULU , CENTRAL
MALUKU

Human life, animal and nature are closely related to their geographical
environment. How can man face the process of stability of his way of being? In
the high mountain and the coast is clearly different, if the nature changes, they
will adjust their patterns of life. Between long dry season which resulted in
famine. When the rainy season arrives. All the villagers get ready to start with
the work equipment for growing crops, farming, farming in the field, setting the
rice field and other things. While on the coast, the fishermen repair boats, nets,
fishing rod to sail or catch fish in the ocean. Likewise, the art tradition in

Maluku, such as Tari Lenso (Lenco Dance), Tari Cakalele (Cakalele Dance), Bambu Gila Dance, as
well as many arts that have poetic singing, kidung, pantun, namely folk theater or plays
performed by actors supported by sinden, traditional singer, and music by gamelan players with a
charge of praise gratitude to the fertility of the nature, blessing, beauty of nature given by the
Creator. That is how human life is very closely related to the geographical law of his natural
environment. Man is the noble creature who was given the gift of mind and intellect along the
intelligent consciousness by the Creator.
Only in Indonesia, it is rich with its customs, arts and cultures. It is also a country
archipelago with 5 large island such as Sumatera, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua
as well as small islands scattered around. With the area of most the ocean, it is called a maritime
country. It is the largest maritime country in Indonesia along with its variety of species in it.
The potential of natural resources contained in the sea, forest, flora and fauna. One of
Indonesia’ natural potential is the beauty of its beaches and seas. Many different kind of beaches
can be found all over Indonesia. However, the potential beauty of beaches on large islands is starting to be
polluted by development and unhealthy lifestyles of people, such as those in big cities. This is caused by
damage resulting from not maintaining existing natural conditions. In Java itself there are many kinds of
beautiful beaches, but in big cities it is difficult to find beaches that offer unspoiled natural beauty. Various
beaches and islands have pristine natural conditions and need special attention in planning & development,
one of which is Tanjung Waerole and Pulau Tiga which are located in Assilulu, Central Maluku. Precisely
37 kilometers from Pattimura Airport, and + 67 kilometers from the center of Ambon City, with a travel
distance of 1 – 1.5 hours using a four-wheeled motorized vehicle. Tanjung Waerole and Pulau Tiga tourism
is a natural, cultural and historical ecotourism destination that is not widely known to the world community.
Tanjung Waerole, located in Asilulu Village, Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency, is an ecotourism
object that must be developed and introduced to foreign and domestic tourists. Because of the beauty of the
pristine natural panorama, cultural treasures that we don't find anywhere else and the various culinary
forms, the various potentials that Tanjung Waerole and Pulau Tiga have are as follows:

1) Natural Tourism
The panoramic beauty of Tanjung Waerole (Batu Lubang) when enjoying the sunset, is like being in the
land of the gods. The richness of coral reefs in Tanjung Waerole and Pulau Tiga is diverse in shape and
type. Truly created by the Almighty with many
the beauty and uniqueness of the season in September and November, in this clearer sea
water, you can see blue whales migrating across Tanjung Waerole and Pulau Tiga. The
schools of dolphin cannot be counted on the fingers of one hand, and there are also
stingrays, barracuda fish, spotted sharks, napoleon fish, canary crabs, giant eels and many
other types of fish. Therefore, this location is a favorite fishing spot for local people.
Meanwhile, on the white sand beaches and highlands you can see the green palm of coconut
trees, clove trees, eucalyptus trees, sago trees, nutmeg, tuni coffee, walnuts, plum mango,
durian and other trees which are usually visited by various colors and types of birds. Among
the most famous are cockatoos, parrots, and there are also cassowaries. These are natural
resources that are branding and favorites in Assilulu as a gift given by the Almighty.

2. Arts and Cultural Tourism


Assilulu Village, Leihitu District, Central Maluku is the village with the third largest
population in Leihitu and West Leihitu Districts. This village has customs and culture that
not all districts in Maluku has. The uniqueness of customs and culture that can be packaged
as local wisdom is one of the potentials to attract tourists. Assilulu Village is characterized by
folk arts ranging from theatre, dance, music and visual arts. These include: Cakalele dance (as
folk theater and mass war dance which has musical and visual elements), Manulana Dance,
Kairore Dance, Palakoti Dance, Lenso Dance and others.
apart from customs, art and culture, Assilulu is also rich in a variety of typical foods, such as
rujak galobak, fresh grilled fish with colo-colo spices, sago and many other typical foods. There
is also a unique activity of Assilulu , namely reflexology, traditional stone-burning massage.

3. Historical Tourism
This tourist location is also supported by the surrounding natural conditions related to
historical heritage such as:
• Batu Lubang is a cave left by Japan as a defense during the independence era.
• Tiga Island was the crash site of an American fighter plane piloted by Alain Pafh who was
shot down by Air Commodore Leo Wattimena during a heavy air battle during the PRRI
Permesta rebellion.
• The Old Waemolol Well is a well made by the ancestors of Assilulu and is unique in that
the water remains fresh even though it is flooded with sea water, and there are many giant
eels, murea or what is called moa.
• Tete Nahil's grave is one of the ancestral graves of the people of Assilulu, it is the grave
of one of the leading Islamic broadcasters on the Leihitu Peninsula and the surrounding
area is a place of pilgrimage for the people of Assilulu and other areas.
• Batu Layar or Alley of Time is an area of + 5 km between Larike Village and Petuanan Village. If you
enter this area, the digital clock activity will go back 2 hours to Western Indonesian time.
• Waerole is a location where two currents meet to form a very amazing current vortex and is located off
Waerole Beach.

Nowadays, humans are experiencing many changes in lifestyle patterns, ways of dealing with natural
resources and influencing changes in the art and culture of the local wisdom of the Indonesian nation, so how
can they not be marginalized. It can be seen through the daily life behavior of the community, as well as the
physical form of house buildings, carvings, clothing styles, batik motifs, statues, paintings and other displays
that become characteristics of identity. With the rapid progress of modernization technology today, facing
the era of globalization and foreign culture, there could be a shift in people's lifestyles which are no longer
loyal to local wisdom. So, to maintain and strengthen its development and preservation, it is necessary to
create a lifestyle-oriented activity that is mutually beneficial. Fostering, maintaining and managing a variety
of dignified lives in accordance with the natural environment and religion. Community development and
empowerment that results in a "Creative Economic Industry" based on the Vision and Mission, namely:
Fostering the community in preserving the development of natural resources which have great potential
with the livelihoods of the population mostly in the fishing, marine and agricultural industrial sectors. So
that available natural resources must be utilized optimally with awareness and sensitivity to the
environment. The creation of an environment based on natural resources that relies on the strength and
superiority of local wisdom culture is the locomotive for the development of the "Creative Economy
Industry". Fostering entrepreneurial activities and empowerment involving the community produces
MSME businesses and Independent Fishing Villages. This development is more helpful towards
"Environmentally Friendly" both nature and society. Strengthening social ties between individuals, through
creative work activities, natural riches and beauty as aesthetic arts, culture and tourism that reflect the
ethical, dignified and religious identity of society. Overall ideas, behavior, perspective, policies to address
and be able to raise the image of national nobility in positive world relations so as to produce the work of
developing production activities with sensitivity to cultivation through the natural processes of the
environment, functioning as a guide to living in a prosperous society, which is independent, has character
and nobility. Sources of environmental information and communication in the field of activities related to
Nature Tourism, Arts and Culture Tourism and Historical Tourism which refers to "Cultural Heritage"
where in this case ongoing training is needed, so that in the future it can be used as additional scientific
material, to develop all the potential that exists in the environment of local community.
Increasing knowledge, development and skills of human resources in the maritime, fisheries, agriculture
and cultural heritage sectors in an ethical, aesthetic and logical manner. All are a series of activities to
achieve the goal of a better and more prosperous future. Aligning all aspirations and strategies, so that
society's energy moves towards more progress and innovation, both comparatively and competitively
with the following qualifications:
Fostering religiosity, belief in the Almighty and strengthening traditions in cultural diversity.
Preserving cultural heritage and developing sustainably museums .
• Fostering existing activities and maintaining responsive environmental governance, working
together with new activities to increase community inspiration and appreciation for a way of life in
accordance with the nation's cultural values.
• Developing quality natural resources and cultural environments, to help the economy of the
UMKM (SME) and Desa Nelayan Mandiri (Mandiri Fisherman Village), as well as understanding
the benefits and objectives of an ecotourism facility that can preserve the environment.
• Designing marine ecotourism facilities according to the natural conditions of Tanjung Waerole
(Batu Lubang) and Pulau Tiga.
• Carrying out training to improve skills in the fields of SMEs and Independent Fishing Villages,
Tourism, Diving, Cultural Arts Workshops (Film/Television Theatre), Event Organizer (EO),
Information Technology, Communication and Transformation for students, college students and the
general public.
BRANDING of STUDIO ALAM TOURIST DESTINATION PROGRAM
TANJUNG WAEROLE dan PULAU TIGA are located in Assilulu, Central Maluku. Precisely 37 kilometers from Pattimura Airport and
67 kilometers from Ambon City Centre. Which travel distance of 1 – 1,5 hours using vehicles.

A RELATIVELY RARE PROGRAM NATURE SPECIFICALLY FOR BRANDING TOURISM OBJECT ACTIVITIES AND

Destination and Natural Studio Business as a "Hollywood Lifeboat" by continuing to become a REGULAR PROGRAM for various types of
activities. "NOT LOOKING FOR JOBS, BUT CREATING JOBS". An activity that is not boring, on the contrary it creates to a new spirit of
passion and prosperity for the people of ASSILULU.

parents while looking after the children playing. Other reflexology activities include traditional stone-burning massage,

1. Segmentation
Tanjung Waerole and Pulau Tiga ecotourism is intended for all segments, including upper,
middle and lower classes. Then from the psychologist's perspective, we see that people need
several locations to take a break from the noise of the city, who tend to look for tourist
locations to gather and relax with family and friends. Meanwhile, our target market based
on the potential of the area in Tanjung Waerole and Pulau Tiga is foreign tourists, local
tourists and the people of Ambon city.

2. Targeting
The operational target for the development of Tanjung Waerole (Batu Lubang) and Pulau
Tiga Ecotourism that we want is a maximum of 5 years from the start of the tourism
opening. Tanjung Waerole and Pulau Tiga have a great opportunity to improve the welfare
and standard of living of the people of Assilulu and the people of Leihitu, especially in
SMEs as a support to tourism in the area.

a comfortable and safe tourist spot for families at an affordable and comfortable price and not just for
holidays but also has educational value.

The current development of demand, there are still many tourist attractions that have not been touched by
the public. With this we want to improve tourist attractions that also have educational value so that
holidays are not just fun but also have educational and knowledge value.

With the increasing number of existing tourist attractions, there is a need for innovation with educational
nutrition so that it is more advanced for the future which has intelligent value for the community.

Current Offering Developments
There have been quite a lot of developments in offers for tourist attractions like this. We aim to develop
this development so that Tanjung Waerole and Pulau Tiga, which have value, can be used as more than
mere tourist attractions
and can be an alternative holiday choice for tourists, both local tourists, national
tourists and foreign tourists. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency
(BPS), Central Maluku Regency shows that the number of foreign tourist visits is
40 people/month and 1,000 to 1,500 local and national domestic tourists.
However, there is still a lack of accommodation and facilities for these tourists.

• Prospects for Future Offerings
Considering that there are opportunities to develop this tourist spot, it is necessary to have
prospects for offers that provide more value for customers, for example by building comfortable
places to stay with various variations ranging from cheap rates to VVIP class, providing
environmentally friendly places, local arts events, provides a wide variety of food with delicious
taste and good quality cooking ingredients and at relatively affordable prices.

The promotional activities that we will carry out are in collaboration with tour and travel
companies in Indonesia and to promote domestic tourists we will create a special event on
holidays by providing discounts and additional special events that will be presented on certain
dates, including :
Art and Culture Treasures in the form of a "People's Party" various types of traditional arts
typical of Maluku, especially Assilulu Village, Food Culinary, Culinary for Woven Batik Fabric
Craftsmen, and other crafts.

CHAPTER III

In the world of science: business, economic management, technology, physics, art, etc., human imagination universally

needs/market tastes. Meanwhile, imagination in art can appreciate and understand the depth of the essence of the
artistic image itself with high values. It is projecting what has been imagined in the mind and then concretizing it with
the widest possible media. In empowering and cultivating humans who are developing towards independent individuals
for themselves and the local community so that they have a cultured personality (culture and power) and the value of
identity, human behavior. With education in various scientific disciplines, it can become a powerful vehicle for realizing
welfare in economic, intellectual, psychological, moral, social and spiritual (religious) dimensions.
We hope that our aspirations, with the capital of enthusiasm and sincerity as the local people (native) really want to
build, foster, maintain and develop as we have explained some of the problems above, but with limited funding conditions,
this results in our inability to develop facilities. Tanjung Waerole and Pulau Tiga ecotourism to be able to compete with
tourist attractions that already exist. We hope that with the potential that exists in Tanjung Waerole and Pulau Tiga, we
are confident that it can help raise the economic potential of the people of Assilulu in particular and Central Maluku in
general.
Because the tourism sector has a significant role in contributing to the country's foreign exchange. Therefore, in
order to realize ideals accompanied by good intentions and enthusiasm for economic progress, it is necessary to
develop facilities and circulation that can become attractive branding as a destination for foreign and domestic
tourists.
Thus, we submit this funding proposal to companies, agencies and individuals
with the aim of being able to help finance the process of developing tourist villages which is the focus of our
business. There is great hope that investment from various parties will become a new way to open up tourism
potential in Tanjung Waerole and Pulau Tiga, Assilulu, Central Maluku.
