A. Write down the correct personal pronouns that the underlined words!

B. Write sentences using Personal Pronouns, Possessive Pronouns, and Reflexive Pronouns. Two
sentences each.
Personal Pronouns
a. He is studying for his exams tomorrow.
b. We are coming to the party tonight.
Possessive Pronouns
a. This pen is hers, she uses it for work.
b. Is this stick yours, or is it mine?
Reflexive Pronouns
a. He hurt himself while playing football.
b. We need to remind ourselves to be kind to others.

C. Underline the verbs and tell whether it is a transitive or intransitive verb!

D. Change the verbs in the brackets into regular and irregular verbs (Past Tense)
Example:
Yesterday (to be) was a busy day. I (wake) woke up 6am, (have) had breakfast quickly and then I (go)
went to work. I (finish) finished at noon and then (eat) ate some lunch. Afterwards I (drive) drove to the
shops, (buy) bought some paint and then (paint) painted my bedroom. My housemate (come) came
home from work so I (help) helped him paint his room, then we (repair) repaired his chair as it (wobble)
wobbled a lot. I (wish) wished I hadn’t, as I hurt my hand! After that I (clean) cleaned my house. I
(vacuum) vacuumed all the downstairs and then (tidy) up the living room and the kitchen. I was pretty
tired by then so I (eat) ate some dinner, (yawn) yawned and (go) went to bed!

E. Identify the types of adverbs.


1. My brother helped me paint my bedroom yesterday. He has done it very nicely. (Adverbs of
Manner)
2. I am sitting behind you. (Adverbs of place or direction)
3. I have nearly finished writing the book. (Adverbs of degree)
4. Jane sat there silently, waiting for some to come. (Adverbs of manner)
5. He was born abroad and has dual citizenship. (Adverbs of place or direction)
6. My brother is never sad. He’s always happy. (Adverbs of time)
7. Have you been to cinema lately? (Adverbs of time )
8. I usually take a bus to school, maybe three or four days a week. (Adverbs of time)
9. I need to go outside more. (Adverbs of place or direction)
10. Does your car run fast enough to do well in the race? (Adverbs of degree)

F. Identify if it is the underlined word is an Adjective or Adverb.


1. The friendly dog smiled at people. (Adjective)
2. The announcement boomed loudly. (Adverb)
3. The cuddly toy calmed the baby boy. (Adjective)
4. The kids slept soundly all night. (Adverb)
