March 31, 2022.

2. SAP Bundle Patch 12.2.0.1.220118 - 202202 is the last SBP for 12.2.0.1 with Oracle Extended
Support.
Windows Patch bundle 2202 (PATCHBUNDLE12201P_2120170001556.ZIP) is the last Windows
Patch bundle.
This note describes which Oracle Database patches have been released for SAP for Oracle Database
12.2.0.1. Patches that are mentioned in this note need to be installed to ensure that the SAP system
functions properly.
Download Patches
You can download Oracle database patches for SAP environments from the SAP Software Download Center
(SWDC).
• It might take up to 2 days until the new patches are visible on the SWDC after this note is updated.
• Only the 2 latest (SAP) Bundle Patches can be downloaded. Older versions are removed.
This note is updated only on 'Oracle Patch Days' when new database patches are released for SAP. Beyond
that, changes will only be made in urgent cases.

General Information
You must install an SAP Bundle Patch in your Oracle database to ensure that the database is working
properly. From a security and functional perspective you should always install the latest SBP (best practice)
which contains the most current security fixes for the Oracle database and functional patches for an SAP
Oracle database.

This section contains corrections and important information regarding the installation of the SBPs listed
above or older SBPs.
1. Go to SAP Software Download Center Oracle Patches Download Area, 'Oracle Patches 12.2.0.1' and
open the platform folder for your platform.
2. Download the SAP Bundle Patch with the highest patch level - GIRU Patch file (ZIP), SBP Patch file
(ZIP), SBP OPatch Patch file (ZIP), SBP README file (HTM), SBP BUGSFIXED file (HTM) - to your
database server.
3. To install the SAP Bundle Patch follow the instructions of the SAP Bundle Patch README (SBP
README).
- Update the OPatch and MOPatch utilities to the versions required by the SBP README.
- Use MOPatch to install the SAP Bundle Patch as described in the SBP README.
- In particular note the patch-specific installation and post-installation instructions in the SBP README.
Note: It is not supported to use OPatch directly to install an SBP or parts of it, except where explicitly stated.
