DESCRIPTION

BLS HFFR 1036 BK is a Black thermoplastic halogen free flame retardant


compound based on polyolefins, flame retardants, mineral fillers, carbon
black, smoke suppressants, uv stabilizers, long term heat stabilisers
specially formulated for use as sheathing of energy, telecom, data, signal and
control cables, cords where flame retardancy and low smoke emission during
combustion are essential alongwith high tear strength and extrusion line
speed and no plate out. It can also be made suitable for thin wall insulation
application for which the requirement should be indicated while placing
order.
Application

BLS HFFR 1036 BK is recommended for sheathing of energy, telecom, data,


signal and control cables where low flame spread, low smoke emission, no
plate out, during combustion are essential. BLS HFFR 1036 BK based cable
complies with BS 7655 Type LTS1,LTS2, LTS3 and LTS4 requirements, IEC
60502-1:2009:11 Type ST8, IEC 60092-359:1999 Type SHF1, IEC 332-1,
OEC 332-2, EN 50363-7:2005 Type T16 & T17, VDE0207 PART 23 HM4.

Processing
BLS HFFR 1036 BK has been designed for easy processing, while maintaining
good mechanical, thermal properties and high LOI value.
BLS HFFR 1036 BK can be processed in extruders with a low compression
ratio of 1:1, L/D ratio 24/1meant for HFFR Compounds, PVC Compounds, PE
Compounds and within a temperature range of 110 deg C to 160 deg C.
Pre-drying the material at 75°C for 3-4 hours is recommended
Barrel 125/135/145/155/160 °C
Neck/Head/Die - 160/160/165°C

It is available in Natural and Coloured UV Stabilised variant also
Preliminary tests are recommended in case of critical applications.
Storage
BLS HFFR 1036 BK must be stored in ambient temperature (not exceeding 35 deg C) in a
shaded area in sealed and intact bags to avoid exposure to sunlight and moisture. Long storing
may affect the property of the compound and for this reason should be used within 12 months
from the compounding date. It is better to dry the material before use.

Packing
BLS HFFR BK is available in 25 kg bags with liners, 1000 kg in Bulk bags with liners, and
1000 kg in Octabin with liners. Other packaging is available on request.
