Madam/Sir,
With references to the subject and reference cited above, the summer vacation for the First
Year Students is from 20-05-2024 for the academic year 2023-24. As indicated in the Academic
calendar 2024-25, the guidelines for Two Weeks Summer Vacation Activities for the First Year
Students are herewith communicated.
The main objective of these summer activities is to ensure that the students do not lose their
academic momentum during the break and to provide them with a platform to develop their
interests and hobbies. In addition, these activities will also help foster curiosity, creativity, and
imagination in young minds and develop spirit of teamwork, leadership, discipline, life skills,
values etc. among the students.
It is our duty to ensure that students utilize their time during the vacation in a constructive
and meaningful way. In order to provide the students with opportunities for holistic growth and
learning, it is proposed to conduct various activities during the summer holidays. Summer
activities can be focused on various areas such as technology adoption, vocational skills etc. These
activities should be assigned by HODs/ Faculty in a creative way to engage the students but also
help them to acquire new skills and knowledge.

To conduct summer activities, the participation and planning of Teaching Staff is crucial. In
this regard, the following instructions should be disseminated to all Teaching Staff through their
Heads of Sections:
1. All First year students must be instructed to participate in the community development
activities in their residential areas during summer holidays 2023-24.
2. Faculty/ Class in-charges must create Whats App groups with their students and parents.
3. Faculty/ Class in-charges should ask the students to maintain a notebook for summer
activities and submit it at the time of reopening.
4. Faculty/ Class in-charges should keep in touch with the students and parents and
encourage them from time to time to monitor their activities.
5. Faculty/ Class in-charges should gather students’ activities in the form of pictures, videos
and reports through the Whats App group.
6. Assign students the projects that will enhance their creativity and critical thinking skills.
7. Keep in touch with the students and their parents through regular communication and
feedback.
8. The HODs are instructed to collect the reports from each student and evaluate the best
possible ideas in the reports submitted by the students and attach to Innovation Cell/Club.
9. The Principals are requested to keep the reports and present before the Academic audit
committee / NBA Committees during the inspection.
Urban services consist of water, sanitary sewer, surface water management, police and fire
protection,
Parks management for healthy society and fitness.
Transportation including: streets, transit, pedestrian and bicycle facilities.
Sanitation.
Surface water management,
Facilities in Schools,
Real-time weather information
Soil health monitoring,
Crop disease detection through mobile applications to empower farmers to take preventive
measures, thereby improving overall agricultural outcomes.

The students shall be guided for the activities in the following:
1. Need of applying technology to agricultural tools and implements ( Data can be collected
from the local people)
2. Need of applying technology to domestic needs. ( Data can be collected from the local
people)
3. Need of any technical services required to develop the existing facilities at community
level. (Water level controllers. Temperature monitoring)
As emphasized, the above activities are indicative in nature and the faculty are free to
adopt the above activities or any other activities that can fulfil the objectives indicated. The Faculty
must encourage and design creative and meaningful summer activities for the students and
implement them in the spirit of holistic development of the students.
