Generate Engineering Solid
• Engineering Solid is new workflow for engineering solids creation and this function improved

visualization and filtering of the engineering solids for ease of validation and output.

• Before generating the solid engineering, user need to prepare one polygon as the outer limit of the

solid area.
Generate Engineering Solid
• Go To Menu Strip Planning – Mining Solid - Create

Setup-Model

Item Description

Input the schema that will be used in the process,

Schema
in this model we will use ‘demo_ms2021’

Model Type Choose model type GRID

Design File and Select an existing Design File and Layer for the
Layer mining solid design elements

Enter a Scenario for the design. The Scenario

Scenario code will be used in downstream naming, so it is
recommended to keep this code to 2 characters.

Enter a description for the scenario. A maximum

of 256 characters can be entered for the
Description
description.
Generate Engineering Solid – Continue
Setup-Naming
• MineScape will create design file layers, elements and mesh files that will be uniquely named from a combination of the
scenario code followed by user defined codes specified in the form.
• A preview of the resulting names are displayed in the Mesh panel of the form. To change the Mesh field names, the
scenario and layer naming must be changed. The Strips / Pit Shell layer is defined by the system and the scenario code..
• Naming Construction
▪ Enter a Pit Shell design layer and mesh file name suffix. Enter an
underscore “_” to insert a space in the layer name.
▪ Enter a Pit Shell design layer suffix for the design offset and
projections.
▪ Enter a strip design layer and mesh file name suffix. Enter an
underscore “_” to insert a space in the layer name.
▪ Enter a strip design layer suffix for the design strip offset and
projections.
▪ Enter a subdivision design layer suffix for the design subdivision
lines that will be used to divide the strips into mining blocks.
Subdivision lines will be applied to vertically when subdividing the
strip solids.
▪ Enter a code for uniquely naming the strip design lines in CAD.
This strip code will be suffixed by a counter to identify the strip
progression through the design.

Bench Block For Short-Term
• This function gives the user the ability to reference a designed cut polygon to build a
master mesh solid and then interactively slice the solid into any shape all the while
displaying the volumes of the newly created solid blocks in real time.
• Each newly created solid block can then be reserved against the structural and quality
model and reported using an Excel template.
• This function is scenario based for improved workflow and data management.
Reconciliation Tools
• Reconciliation tool allows mine engineers to generate multiple reserve polygons for within, above, below, and
outside the mine design surface compared to a specific survey threshold.
• The Reconciliation form provides functionality to generate surface mesh for reconciliation and ability to
generate polygon with specific ID for reserving process
