Introduction
Crochet in spiral rounds, do not connect the end and the beginning of
the round with slip stitches.
When crocheting in a spiral, the crocheting shifts to the side.
The amount of shifting depends on your gauge, thread tension,
crocheting method (cross single crochet or regular single crochet)
and the crocheting of decreases. Your shifting may not match mine. I
crochet in regular single crochet and make invisible decreases.

The pattern contains video lessons on how to move a marker of the

round beginning. The pattern of the toy, crocheted in a spiral as one
piece cannot be universal for everyone, since everyone has different
crochet shifting. You do not need to change the description of the
rounds to suit your gauge, you just need to learn how to move the
marker of the round beginning.

Head
The head and body are crocheted in one piece,
start from the head:
Using complementary color ch4.

1. start on the second chain from the hook: 2 sc, 4 sc in the last chain,
2 sc, 4 sc in the first chain (there is no chain left for them, work in the
remaining loop after turning in the opposite direction) (12)

Do not cut complementary yarn.

3-4. 16 sc (2 rounds) (16) When working with thin cotton yarn, crochet
an additional third round of 16 sc.

5. 5 sc, 4 inc, 7 sc (20) Mark space between stitches 15-16, to insert

safety eyes there.

VIDEO: move the marker if necessary

In rounds 5-10 the increases should go down, forming a chest. They are in bold.
You need to determine in which direction the shifting goes and what is needed to
align the beginning of the round. You may need to work 1 extra sc and move the
marker of the beginning of the round forward, or undo 1 sc of the previous round
and move the marker back.

6. 8 sc, 2 inc, 10 sc (22) Mark space between stitches 2-3, to insert

safety eyes there.
