SHOWCASE WELCOME LETTER

Welcome to
PACK EXPO East 2024

O
n behalf of the PMMI Media Group and Packaging World magazine, President David Newcorn
and I would like to welcome you to PACK EXPO East 2024. We’re bringing the positive
momentum generated at last fall’s PACK EXPO Las Vegas to Philadelphia, eager to connect
at PACK EXPO East’s largest edition to date.
In 2022, PACK EXPO East brought a sense of returning to form, having weathered the challeng-
es that marked the preceding years. The show’s growth as we gather once again in Philadelphia, now
hosting 7,000 industry professionals and over 400 exhibitors, is a testament to our industry’s resilience.
The Northeastern United States is home to nearly one-third of the nation’s top CPGs, making it

ty brings that innovation to your doorstep. Instead of a select few flying out to Las Vegas or Chica-
go, your whole team can take an easy drive or train ride to see machinery first-hand, find dependable
packaging solutions, and access world-class educational and networking opportunities.
“PACK EXPO East brings unparalleled value to manufacturers in this region and beyond. This
show provides attendees an up-close view of the latest packaging and processing solutions, an op-
portunity to make new connections, and personalized help for their biggest manufacturing needs,”
says Jim Pittas, president and CEO, PMMI. “PACK EXPO East’s convenient location makes it a
must-attend event for packaging and processing professionals in the region seeking to improve and
grow their operations.”
For seasoned PACK EXPO East attendees and newcomers alike, this year’s show brings plen-
ty of new features to be excited about. The Industry Speaks stage (Booth 1653) makes its Philadel-
phia debut this year, hosting experts from various industry verticals as they address hot topics and
industry trends. That’s in addition to the Innovation Stage (Booth 1153), where exhibitors will share
breakthrough technologies, innovative applications, and proven approaches in 30-minute seminars

This show is as much about the people as it is the latest technology. Workforce challenges have
become commonplace in the 2020’s, but PACK EXPO East is here to help. Be sure to check out the
Workforce Development Pavilion or the Certified Trainer Workshop for indispensable resources to
help grow your workforce and develop your existing staff and employees to keep them engaged and
feeling valued.
Watch out for tomorrow’s industry leaders making their way through the halls, too. We’re getting
students involved and excited about packaging and processing careers with a James Bond- or Mission
Impossible-style, “mission-based” scavenger hunt on the show floor.
Now for the main attraction—this is your chance to see cutting-edge technology in action, meet rep-
resentatives from top suppliers and share your latest project directly with them, and find solutions for
your company that may have not even been on your radar. Exhibitors, that goes for you, too. What bet-
ter place to connect with local CPGs of any size and find that next great working relationship?
The exhibitor interest, as measured in occupied floor space, at PACK EXPO East 2024 compared
to previous shows underscores the industry’s eagerness to come together and explore the latest
technologies. It further proves what we know from shows past; face-to-face, personalized interac-

to be back in Philadelphia to catch up with you all and see the industry’s east-coast sector in action.

Twenty-four professional and five student submissions were selected as recipients of the
2023 AmeriStar Award, a design competition in the packaging industry produced by the

Pack Designers Eye Peach Fuzz,

Pantone’s 2024 Color of the Year
At a time of turmoil in the world, pack designers should consider incorporating ‘a compassionate

mind, body, and soul,” is the 2024 Pantone Color of the Year.
According to the company, at a time of turmoil in many as-

cozy shade highlighting our desire for togetherness with others and
the feeling of sanctuary this creates, presents a fresh approach to
a new softness. “Subtly sensual, Pantone 13-1023 Peach Fuzz is a Global color authority Pantone has announced that

We are a custom and standard conveyor manufacturer.

Our products are multiple and unique. No one product
defines Multi-Conveyor. We’ve designed and engineered
some of the most simplistic to most revered conveyor
solutions ever manufactured.

The goal? To provide a more functional, affordable

conveyor while maximizing productivity or saving essential
floor space in the process. Our Designers and Engineers
factor in safety, ease of use, maintenance, longevity, sani-
tation or agency compliance (as required) using quality
components to meet or exceed your requirements.

We bring technology driven operator-to-controls commu-

nications encompassing functional engineering designs;
HMI interface and servos that provide faster, more efficient
changeovers to feed various line packaging, case packing
and pallet forming configurations. Flexibility in product
shapes, weights and sizes are matched for increased
throughput and future expansion.

Even if you’re satisfied with your existing conveyor sup-

plier, let us quote your next project. Chances are, we’ve
already built a system that’s similar to the project you’re
working on right now - or made one pretty dang close.

Remember, Multi-Conveyor ... your best, conveyed better.

SIMPLER. FASTER. BETTER.

SHRINK SLEEVE LABELERS

Sleeve Seal is focused on a new era of repeatable labeling performance.
Built-to-last American manufacturing expertise and modern engineering
combine to produce speeds from 25 to 1600 CPM on robust machines
equipped with intelligent Allen Bradley controls. Heavy weight construction
and the fastest, most durable drive train in the industry provide countless
hours of high efficiency runs. Sleeve Seal machines are engineered to
provide quality-labeling performance with simple, tool-less changeovers
between container formats. Other patented innovations, such as a multi-
blade cutter assembly with quick-change blades have been developed for
ease of maintenance.

ROLL-FED LABELERS
The RFL Series range of roll fed labelers was born from the same need as
our shrink sleeve labelers - a need for faster, more efficient, more robustly
built machines with Allen Bradley controls. In a market where efficiencies
and cost of ownership are everything, Sleeve Seal has a proven history of
fast, precise label application with minimal maintenance costs. Our engi-
neers have an unparalleled depth of knowledge
that has been applied to a new style of label application for today’s market.
Sleeve Seal is proud to present our new range of RFL Series of roll fed
labelers.

CAP SEALERS
Sleeve Seal Cap Sealers offer the same rugged construction and preci-
sion application as our vertical labelers with rapid tool-less changeover of
change parts. Our cap sealers and vertical shrink labelers utilize identical
drive trains, allowing the user to switch safely and easily from format to
format.
