Transistor Summary
*NOTICE*
When replacing power output devices, our designs do NOT require Banks or that all be replaced. We do require that any
defective device be replaced with the same part number by PEAVEY. DO NOT MIX BRANDS OR PART NUMBERS,
EXCEPTIONS LISTED BELOW.
RCA-66161 No longer available. Replace with RCA-68271, order by 70468271. NOTE: Replacement of the
above devices with the RCA device 70468271 requires no circuit modification. Devices may be
mixed or totally changed over to 70468271.
SJ-6451 Motorola part 70406451. No longer available. Replace all ten in each module with 70483180.
DO NOT MIX 6451 with 831803. Driver output for 83180 is 70481180. Original driver number
was 6506.
SJ-8332 No longer available. Replace with 70483180. DO NOT MIX 8332 with 83180. Driver output for
83180 is 70481180.
SJ-6506 No longer available. Replace with 70481180. Driver output for 6343 (A&B), SJ-8332, or RCA-
68271.
SJ-6387 No longer available. Replace with 70481180. NOTE: DO NOT DRIVE 66161 with SJ-6387 OR
81180, Use 67068 or another 66161.
Motorola 6343 (A&B) No longer available. Replace with 70483180. O.K. to mix in pairs.

CAPACITORS
Nearly all recent model Peavey circuits utilize glass/tubular capacitors which are often mistaken for diodes.
They are distinguishable by their clear body and the capacitance value is printed on the side. The values
are expressed as shown below.
1 uf 10%..........................................105
.001 uf 10% 50V..............................102
.0015 uf 10% 50V............................152
.0022 uf 10% 50V............................222
.0033 uf 10% 50V............................332
.0068 uf 10% 50V............................682

.022 uf 10% 50V..............................223
.033 uf 10% 50V..............................333
.047 uf +80 -20 50V.........................473Z
.047 uf 10% 50V..............................473K
.068 uf 10% 50V..............................683
.1 uf +80 -20 50V.............................104K
.1 uf 10% 50V..................................104K
Capacitors with values in picofarads are light green in color and are marked in the same manner as resistors,
with color bands. These are often mistaken for resistors.
Capacitors with light blue or pink bodies and color coded bands have values in microfarads and are read as
follows:
