ENGLISH FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

SPEAKING TEST (2018, 2021)

There are two parts in the speaking test. In part 1, each candidate will be asked 5-7 questions about
their own experiences of information technology. In part 2, two candidates will ask and answer
questions related to information technology situations.

PART 1:

What does a support technician do? A support technician provides technical
assistance and troubleshooting support to users for hardware, software, and network-
related issues.
What does a system analyst? A system analyst analyzes and evaluates an
organization's computer systems and procedures to help improve efficiency and solve
business problems.

What activities do they carry out?
One example of a technology company is Google. Google engages in various activities
such as search engine services, online advertising, cloud computing, software

6 What is the IT organization would you like to work for? Why?
I want to work for FPT because it offers a great working environment and provides a
competitive salary for newcomers.
7 Can you tell me the difference between peripherals and internal hardware?
Peripherals are external devices connected to a computer, while internal hardware
refers to components inside the computer case.
8 What can you do to a window? I can close, open, or access websites through a
window.
9 What do you use computers for? I use a computer for work, study, and entertainment
10 Which website do you visit most often? I often visit Facebook the most because I can
chat with people and watch videos on it.
11 Which browsers do you use? Which is your favourite? Why? I use Coc Coc and
Google Chrome, but my favorite is Coc Coc because of its fast speed, beautiful user
interface, and strong security measures
12 What kind(s) of device(s) do you use to access the internet?
i use computer, smartphone,tablets access internet

I can record and review lessons, which is also convenient for mobility

The last problem I had with with electronic device was the speaker of my laptop not
working.other problem include battery issues,sofeware carshes and hardware failures
32 When you have problems with a device, what do you do? How can you find help?
I will search online for information about laptop repair shops and then take my laptop
to get it fixed there.
33 Have you ever called an IT help desk centre? What happened? How was the
experience?
My laptop speakers were not working, so I called to inquire if the repair shop had
replacement speakers available before taking my laptop there for repairs, and it was a
good experience
34 Can you talk about steps to solve an IT problem?
I think Gather information,analyze the problem,troubleshoot,test and verify
35 In what area of IT would you most like to work in the future? Why?
I want to work of AI because it is the future trend and offers high salary potential.

I have programming skills that I have utilized in various class assignments. I have
experience with coding and solving programming problems, applying algorithms and
data structures, and developing software applications
