CHAPTER IV

PRESENTED, ANALYSIS, AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter consists of tabular presentations and

discussions of the results, analyses, and interpretations of the data

collected during the conduct of the study.

The data of this study were based on the responses of the

thirty eight (38) Islamic Studies and Arabic Language Teachers of

twelve (12) public elementary schools in Datu Piang Maguindanao

Del Sur. Data were tabulated, graphed, analyzed, and presented in

figures and tables.

The Teachers’ Profile

Figures 3 to 7 present in tables and graphical manners the

profile of the thirty eight (38) public elementary Islamic Studies and

Arabic Language Teachers in Datu Piang Maguindanao Del Sur as

respondents of this study, in terms of age, sex, civil status, and

highest educational attainment, length of service, type of school,

native language.

Age Profile

Figure 1 below illustrate the age distribution of the ISAL

teachers in public elementary schools in Datu Piang Maguindanao

Del Sur. The ages of the respondents were categorized in to six (6)

brackets, namely: 19 years old below, 20 to 25 years old, 26 to 30

years old, 31 to 35 years old, 36 to 40 years old, 41 years old and

above.

As indicated in the figure, fifty eight percent (58%) or more

than one-half (½) of the respondents have ages ranging from 41

year old and above while eighteen percent (18%) or more than one-

fourth (¼) of them were 19 years old below. In addition, eleven

percent (11) or less than one-fourth (¼) of them were 26 to 30 years

old. On the other hand, five percent (5%) or less than (1/8) of them

were the same 20 to 25 years old and 31 to 35 to 35 years old while

three percent (3%) the smallest percentage were 36 to 40 years old.

This distribution suggest that the most of the respondents belong to

the their prime age which is 41 years old and above. This implies

the majority of the Islamic and Arabic Language teachers in public

elementary schools in Datu Piang, Maguindanao Del Sur are in this

SY 2023-2024.

Sex Profile

Figure 2 below exemplifies the sex distribution of the Islamic

and Arabic Language teachers in public elementary schools in Datu

Piang Maguindanao Del Sur. The respondents are categorized into

male and female.

The pie charts shows the sex classification of the Islamic and

Arabic Language teachers as samples of the study. As shown, sixty-

one percent (61%) of the respondents were males while thirty-nine

(39%) were females.

This reveals that the respondents were more on males. This

shown that majority is males are Islamic and Arabic Language

Teacher in public and elementary school in Datu Piang

Maguindanao Del Sur.

Civil Status

Figure 3 below shows the civil status distribution of the

Islamic and Arabic Language teachers in public elementary schools

in Datu Piang, Maguindanao Del Sur. The civil status of the

respondents was categorized into three (3), namely: single, married

and separated.

As indicated in the figure, eighty nine percent (89%) or more

than three-fourth (¾) of the respondents were married and eight

percent (8%) or less than (¼) were separated and three percent (3%)

or less than (1/8) were single.

This implies that the Islamic and Arabic Language teachers in

public elementary schools in Datu Piang Maguindanao Del Sur were

clearly dominated by married ISAL teachers. This further indicates

that classroom teaching and learning process of the basic education

sector is obviously dominated by married teachers.

Figure 4 below illustrates the highest educational attainment

distribution of the Islamic and Arabic Language teachers in public

elementary schools in Datu Piang, Maguindanao Del Sur. The

highest educational of the respondents was categorized into four (4)

brackets, namely: Arabic, Shariah, Tarbiyah , Dawah.

As indicated in the figure, sixty-one percent (61%) or more

than (2/3) of the respondents have highest educational attainment

of Tarbiyah while twenty-four percent (24%) or more than (¼) were

taken of Dawah. On the other hand eleven percent (11%) or (¼) of

them is holding Arabic while five percent (5%) or less than (1/8) of

them is holding Shariah.

Data reveal that majority of the respondents were taken

Tarbiyah holders. Before a teacher become a Islamic and Arabic

Language teacher.

Level of job satisfaction

The table 8 below illustrate the level of job satisfaction of

Islamic and Arabic language teacher in public elementary school in

Datu Piang, Maguindanao Del Sur the level of job satisfaction of the

respondent were categorized into (6) brackets, namely:

management, supervision, co-workers, communication, and salary.

This results show good management can produce quality

education, making easy and continuous improvement. By

implementing these management strategies, teachers can create a

supportive and engaging learning environment that fosters student

success and growth.

Job Satisfaction in terms of supervision

Supervision in teaching is a crucial aspect of ensuring the

quality and effectiveness of education. It involves the guidance,

support and evaluation of teachers. This table illustrate the

supervision of ISAL teachers in public elementary school.

Collaboration and teamwork are essential components of a

successful teaching environment, and co-worker play a vital role in

fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere. This table illustrate

This results show good co-workers a positive relationship

with your co-workers is essential for your growth as a teacher. By

surrounding yourself with supportive and knowledgeable,

colleagues, you can perspective, and become a better educator.

Job satisfaction in terms of Communication

Communication is a fundamental aspect of human

interaction, and plays a crucial role in every aspect of our lives,

including tteaching. This table illustrate the communication of ISAL

teachers in public elementary school.

Teaching Practices of Islamic and Arabic language teachers


when Grouped According to their Socio Demographic Profile.

Tables 1 to 7 present the teaching practices of Islamic and

Arabic teachers according to their socio-demographic profile. These

are in terms of age, sex, civil status, and highest educational

attainment, length of service, type of school and native language

Table 1 presents the teaching practices of Islamic and Arabic

language teachers when grouped according to age. The age of

respondents was classified into six (6), namely 19 below, 20 to 25

yards old, 26 to 30 years old, 31 to 35 years old, 36 to 40 years old,

and above 41 years old.

Tables 1 shows that the highest mean rating of 2.75 goes to

those ISAL teachers whose ages were 26 to 30 years old. This rating

falls under the “satisfactory” level. Based on the data, it is arranged

from more than 41 years old (2.63), 19 below years old (2.57), two

equal rating which is 20 to 25 years old and 3i to 35 years old (2.5),

36 to 40 years old (3). All these rating fall under the “satisfactory”.

The data reveal that the job satisfaction and teaching

practices of ISAL Teachers of the public elementary school in Datu

Piang Maguindanao Del Sur base on IPCRF can be describe as

“satisfactory” as supported by the average mean of 2.62 . The result

further shows that the male ISAL teacher has the highest rating of

2.65 which can be described as “satisfactory” and the female

teacher has the rating of 2.6 which can be described as

“unsatisfactory”.

Therefore the male teachers has a higher mean score compared the

female teachers.

As shown in table 3, the mean rating of those ISAL teachers

who were single is 3, while those ISAL teachers who were married

2.61 and the separated ISAL teachers is 2.66. All these rating fall

under the “satisfactory” level. This means that both single, married

and separated ISAL teachers have almost the same level of job

Data in the table show that those ISAL Teachers who finished

their Arabic have higher rating 2.75, followed by who finished

Dawah of 2.66, while who finished tarbiyah is 2.65, and who

finished shariah has a 2.5. This means that ISAL teachers in public

elementary school in Datu Piang Maguindanao Del Sur those are

fall under the satisfactory level. Had the same level of job

satisfaction and teaching practices regardless of their educational

attainment.
