Career
May 2018–April 2021: Produce 48, Inkigayo,

IZ*ONE
On May 11, 2018, Yujin was revealed to be a

contestant on Mnet's reality-survival show Produce
48, where she would be representing Starship
Entertainment. On August 30, during the show's Tnal
episode, she Tnished in Tfth place, hence becoming a
member of IZ*ONE.[5]
IZ*ONE oUcially debuted on October 29, 2018 with

their Trst mini album Color*IZ and its title track "La Vie
en Rose".
On February 18, 2021, Yujin was announced as a new

MC for SBS's music show program Inkigayo.[6] Her Trst
appearance on the show took place on March 7.
On April 29, 2021, following the expiration of their

special contract with O_ the Record Entertainment,
IZ*ONE oUcially disbanded. Afterwards, Yujin returned
to Starship Entertainment as a trainee.
August–December 2021: Debut with IVE
On August 22, 2021, Star News reported that Yujin

and fellow former IZ*ONE member Wonyoung would
be members in Starship's upcoming girl group, set to
debut in the second half of the year. Starship
conTrmed the plans, but did not share if the two
would be part of the group.[7]
On November 2, following the oUcial reveal of the

group's debuting name and logo, an article published
on Naver conTrmed that both Yujin and Wonyoung
will re-debut as members of said group - IVE.[8] On
November 3, Yujin was oUcially announced as the
group's Trst member. An article posted later in the day
conTrmed she is the leader of the group.[9][10]
On November 9, it was announced that IVE will be

debuting on December 1 with their Trst single album
"Eleven".[11] On this day, the single album, along with
its title track of the same name, were released.
March–June 2022: Departure from Inkigayo,

"Move Like This"
On March 15, 2022, it was announced that Yujin would

be stepping down from her role as MC on the music
show Inkigayo after over a year.[12] Her last broadcast
as an MC took place on March 27.
On May 23, it was announced that Yujin would be

releasing a collaboration single with Olympic Tgure
skater Yuna Kim as part of the 2022 Gatorade x
Starship Campaign.[13] Two days later, on May 25, it
was revealed that solo singer Kang Daniel would also
take part in the song.[14] The collaborative single,
titled "Move Like This", was released on June 6.

Yujin is the youngest of her parents' two children; she

has an older sister that was born in 1999. She has one
pet dog named Azzo, who has its own Instagram
account.
