Organizational Behaviour Analysis (25%) Team assignment
Working in a team of 3-4 students, the team will develop a comprehensive Organizational Behaviour
analysis for a Canadian company of their choice. You will upload to Turnitin (a) Team Charter; (b)
Report; (c) Team Evaluation.
Concept
With the help of the concepts learned in this course, the students will critically analyze an OB
System/ sub-system utilizing secondary data research (peer-reviewed journals, published case
studies, company websites, google scholar - research articles, videos, newspaper/ magazine articles)
to identify problems and recommend constructive improvements. Resources should be within the
last five years.
Analysis
Remember to describe what the organization is doing in each area and analyze how well they are
doing in each area, including how the competition might be doing. An excellent analysis considers
the good and the bad when examining an organization.
Grading
The term-project report will be graded from 25%, as mentioned below. Each group member will be
graded on the group deliverable on this project. The project report will be worth 20%. The team
charter will be uploaded to Turnitin by each group member when groups are assigned (2%). The
team evaluation will be uploaded to Turnitin at the end of the project (3%).
NOTE:
• APA writing conventions should be followed in the report (10-12 pages)

• A minimum of six (6) sources referenced and cited, including in-text citations (if you are
presenting another author’s ideas in your
language, you still have to provide the in-text citation of that author), report format and
references in APA format.
• References/sources should be within the last five years.

• The report must demonstrate an analysis of the material and its application to the
workplace.
• The company's title cannot be your report title for copyright reasons.
• In an appendix, include the name of each group member corresponding to the topic/section
they wrote
• Students are encouraged to use Grammarly to avoid plagiarism.
• If plagiarism is identified in the paper, the student may receive a zero for the assignment.
• Adhering as closely as possible to the word count target is part of the exercise, requiring you
to be selective with the information you
include and ensure everything you include adds value.
• Do not exceed page/word limit

• All submissions will be made through Turnitin.
• All team members are required to make the submissions of the same project in Turnitin (and
parts as mentioned below) in their respective portals.
• Rename your assignment file by your respective name before you upload. For example, if
John Smith is submitting his assignment, his assignment file name should be “Johnsmith-
StudentNumber.”

• Company History/Background
o Describe and explain how the company was formed, major products/services, trends, growth etc.
o 2-3 Paragraphs
• Organizational Vision and Mission
o You can quote the vision and mission

o Describe and explain in your own words what the vision and mission mean for the organization o
1-2 Paragraphs
• Critical Analysis and industry comparisons of your chosen OB sub-system (as mentioned above)
o For each section describe and explain the importance of the topic using course learnings
o Describe and explain how the company you are analyzing has or has not met best practices based
on course learnings o Ensure your work is well referenced from course learning and scholarly
sources
o 3-4 Paragraphs for each topic
• Key Findings/Strengths, Recommendations and Development Opportunities, Implications

o Describe and explain the core strengths of the company you have analyzed based on the critical
analysis above o Provide 3 recommendations on how the company could improve based on the
findings of the analysis
o Provide 1-2 paragraphs on development opportunities
o Provide 1-2 paragraphs on the implications of the findings

o 2-3 paragraphs
• References
• Appendices (Ensure you include an appendix with the name of each team member and the
corresponding section(s) written)
