Introducing ONKYO
1946 Establishment of Osaka Electroacoustic Co.
In 1972, the Acoustical Technology Research Institute was officially established.
Since its founding, ONKYO has been working to develop an ideal music playback
device that can be described as the common language of humanity.
Our goal is to provide new value, surprise and excitement by "adding something

policy" through the technology and know-how we have accumulated over the

Onkyo Co., Ltd. merged with Onkyo & Pioneer Co., Ltd.
(disappearing company), changed its name to Onkyo Home
Entertainment Co., Ltd., and split OEM business and other
businesses into new businesses.
