Note:
1) The Academic Calendar may change subject to conditions existing due to pandemic and guidelines issued by the
Ministry of Health / Ministry of Home / Ministry of Education of Govt. of Telangana / College Academic Council and
BOG from time to time.
2) The Classes may conduct in Offline (Class Room) / Online or Blended Mode (Offline as well as Online) following the
prescribed protocols / guidelines related to pandemic.
3) In case of any Public Holiday / unscheduled holiday on the day of Internal Mid Term Test, the Chief Controller of
Examinations may reschedule the same immediately on the next working day.
4) In view of extended pandemic, the faculty can compensate the lost class work if any by taking extra classes on Sundays
& Holidays
5) The Heads of the Departments may review the syllabus covered on semimonthly basis and take remedial measures if
required for completion of syllabus on time.

COLLEGE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR STUDENTS


• College working hours are from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm with a lunch break of one hour, i.e from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.
The dress code shall be in proper form.
• Students should be regular and punctual to the college and discipline shall be maintained.
• Students should be prompt to the classes and labs, even five minutes late comers will not be allowed.
• Student should maintain minimum of 75% attendance at any cost without fail. Otherwise the student will be detained.
• Students are instructed to maintain separate note books for all subjects.
• Students are advised to maintain proper notes and submit the assignments within stipulated time.
• It is mandatory to wear Aprons and shoes while working in the labs. They must bring lab manual, observation book
and lab records.
• Students are advised to avail the college facilities in effective way, shall not damage any property. If so the cost of
same shall be recovered.
• Students are not allowed to leave the campus during working hours without permission of Dean - First Year except
citing valid reasons.
• Provision of Parent teacher interaction to promote effective learning, every month.
• Parents can get first hand information about their ward by contacting respective Mentors.
• Parents are advised not to believe students regarding college holidays until or unless any circular is released by higher
authorities or any update through SMS from College or kept in website.
• Parents can access College Automation facility to monitor their ward’s regularity and marks.
• Daily messages to the parents regarding student’s regularity will be sent. In case of non-receival, they are advised to
contact Dean / HOD / Mentor. Hence parents are advised to provide correct telephone numbers and address for the
same.
• Mobile phones are not allowed in the class room.
• Prior permission is required in case of absenteeism, with valid proof of illness.
• Strict action will be taken against the student if he / she are found roaming in the campus/canteen during class hours.
• It is advisable to send students through college bus for timely arrival and departure.
• Students shall take lunch in campus only and will not be allowed outside for lunch.
• Students are not permitted to resort to strikes and demonstrations within the college. Participation in any such activity
shall automatically result in their dismissal from the college.
• No student unions, except professional associations, are permitted in the college.
• Any student responsible for bringing outsiders into the college campus for settling student disputes will be expelled
from the college.
• The Principal of the college is the final authority regarding the discipline in the institution and has full power to
suspend, fine, rusticate and take any other action, which is deemed necessary.
• The conduct of the students should be exemplary, not only within the premises of the college but also outside and any
ragging related problems shall be informed immediately to Dean and Principal.
• Fees must be paid in one installment within two weeks of 1st semester in the college.
• Students should follow the timely instructions given regarding Scholarship.
• Students should follow all the protective measures against Covid-19 a corona virus.

2. DISTRIBUTION OF MARKS – PRACTICALS


❖ Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE):
CIE shall be conducted for 25/50 marks out of which 15/30 marks for Day-to-Day Performance including
Attendance, Timely Submission of Lab Observations & Records, Viva- Voce, 10/20 marks for Internal Lab exam
and Viva-Voce.
❖ Semester End Examination (SEE):
SEE shall be conducted for 50 marks out of which 10 marks are allocated for write up (design / procedure /
schematic diagram) of the given experiment, 20 marks for conduction of experiment, 10 marks for results and 10
marks for viva-voce with a duration of 3 hours.
The external examiner will be appointed by the Principal / Chief Controller of Exams of the college, from any
outside college among the autonomous / reputed institutions from a panel of three examiners submitted by the
concerned Head of the Department / BOS Chairperson.

3. ATTENDANCE: “A Regular programme of study” means putting in attendance of not less than 75%

4. PASS MARKS CONDITIONS:

A candidate shall be deemed to have fully passed a Theory course, if the candidate secures a minimum
of 40% in SEE and total of 40% in CIE & SEE together, and in Practical / Laboratory / Projects etc.,
candidate has to secure 50% in SEE and total of 50% in CIE & SEE together.

i. Each Theory Subject: 40 %
ii. Each Practical / Drawing Course: 50 %

5. WITH-HOLDING THE RESULTS

• If a candidate has found with any indiscipline / malpractice in examinations, the candidate
results shall be withheld.
• The issue of the award of the provisional certificate and the B.E. degree is liable to be
withheld in such cases.

6. PROMOTION RULE: Must have earned at least 50% credits prescribed for every year.
