Generic Type Modified epoxy-polyamide

Very tough, hard coating developed for glass-reinforced application up to 1/8” (0.32 cm) by two
component airless spray, roller or squeegee. Excellent wetting properties minimize air entrapment
frequently encountered during filled application with glass-reinforced materials. Carboguard 151-2
Description
has sufficient flexibility to withstand the expansion and contraction effects encountered in large
storage tanks. Component A is pigmented blue and Component B is pigmented yellow. When
Carboguard 151-2 is properly mixed and applied, a uniform green color is obtained.

• Solventless, high performance protection

• Low-to-no odor
• Easy to apply by standard equipment
• Excellent chemical resistance
• Fast cure
• Tough abrasion resistant film
Features • Excellent flexibility
• Excellent corrosion protection
• Impact resistant
• Hi-build application
• Internal film reinforcement (chopped strandmat)
• Ideal for upgrading older crude storage facilities, which have been severely corroded
• Has excellent resistance to crude oil, water and brine

Color Green

High Gloss

contaminants. Apply over properly prepared concrete, steel or other surfaces as recommended.

Steel SSPC SP5 / NACE #1 with a 3.0-4.0 mils (75-100 microns) surface profile for maximum protection.

Remove all oil, grease, dirt or contaminates from the surface to be coated by steam detergent
Concrete cleaning. All contaminated or damaged concrete must be removed down to a clean, structurally
sound concrete substrate.

Maximum 38°C (100°F) 38°C (100°F) 38°C (100°F) 85%

Do not apply when the surface temperature is less than 5°F (2°C) above the dew point.
Special thinning and application techniques may be required above or below normal conditions.

CURING SCHEDULE
Surface Temp. Dry to Handle Final Cure

*Longer cure times are generally needed for more aggressive service.
Insufficient ventilation or cooler temperatures will require longer cure times. Excessive humidity or condensation on the surface
during curing can interfere with the cure, can cause discoloration and may result in a surface haze. Any haze or blush must be
removed by water washing if re-coating.

CLEANUP & SAFETY

Cleanup Use Thinner #2 or Toluol
