Generic Type Modified epoxy-polyamide
Very tough, hard coating developed for glass-reinforced application up to 1/8” (0.32 cm) by two
component airless spray, roller or squeegee. Excellent wetting properties minimize air entrapment
frequently encountered during filled application with glass-reinforced materials. Carboguard 151-2
Description
has sufficient flexibility to withstand the expansion and contraction effects encountered in large
storage tanks. Component A is pigmented blue and Component B is pigmented yellow. When
Carboguard 151-2 is properly mixed and applied, a uniform green color is obtained.
Color Green
High Gloss
Finish
Epoxies lose gloss, discolor and eventually chalk in sunlight exposure.
(Non-Immersion)
Dry Temp. Resistance
Continuous: 200°F (93°C)
Immersion temperature resistance depends upon exposure.
Normally a gel coat of Carboguard 151-2 is specified. May be top-coated with Phenolines or others
Topcoats
as specified.

Surface must be clean and dry. Employ adequate methods to remove all dirt, dust, oil and all other
General
contaminants. Apply over properly prepared concrete, steel or other surfaces as recommended.
Steel SSPC SP5 / NACE #1 with a 3.0-4.0 mils (75-100 microns) surface profile for maximum protection.
Remove all oil, grease, dirt or contaminates from the surface to be coated by steam detergent
Concrete cleaning. All contaminated or damaged concrete must be removed down to a clean, structurally
sound concrete substrate.

*Longer cure times are generally needed for more aggressive service.
Insufficient ventilation or cooler temperatures will require longer cure times. Excessive humidity or condensation on the surface
during curing can interfere with the cure, can cause discoloration and may result in a surface haze. Any haze or blush must be
removed by water washing if re-coating.
Read and follow all caution statements on this product data sheet and on the MSDS for this
