Backup Management Procedures

1. Backup Scheduling

a. IT Team shall take full backup of all critical servers weekly, on server local disk and
maintain logs for the same.

2. Backup Exception Handling

a. IT team shall monitor local server disk backup for completion.

b. In case local server disk backup fails, then IT team shall re-run the failed backup on
local server disk.

3. Backup of Critical Network, Servers and Security Appliances

a. All critical network device configurations shall be backed up on weekly basis and
maintained offsite or on google drive.

b. All critical server configurations shall be backed up on weekly basis and maintained
offsite or on google drive.

c. All critical security appliance configurations shall be backed up on weekly basis and
maintained offsiteor on google drive.

4. Backup Retention

a. Full back up shall be retained for 60 days.

b. In some cases, on demand, infinite backup shall be taken as per user request.

c. Backup logs should be retained for a minimum of 6 Months.

5. Restoration of Backup

a. The backup shall be restored based on business requirement.

b. The restoration request shall be approved by the reporting manager of the requestor.
Requestor shall send it to IT team. Requestor shall also log a call with the IT team.

c. IT team shall restore the data based on the details provided in the restore request.

d. The restored data shall be checked, verified and validated by the requestor.

6. Restoration Drill

a. Restoration drill shall be carried out quarterly for critical servers and the same shall be
reviewed by It Manager.

b. The restoration drill for critical servers shall ensure integrity of restored data with
confirmation from Server Admin team on e-mail.

c. The backup restoration drill test results shall be recorded.

d. ISO shall review the restoration drill record on a Halfyearly basis.
