1 . Do you think only certain individuals are attracted to flexible work arrangements
(FWAs)? Why or why not?

This statement is very true that certain individuals attracted to flexible work arrangements;
Because flexible work arrangements attract mothers and fathers, which allow them to achieve a
balance between work and home, thus reducing their stress. Therefore, this will certainly
increase their productivity at work, as a result of them obtaining better mental health due to
achieving balance. In addition, flexible work arrangements attract people who suffer from social
anxiety. Those who, in order to reach high productivity in their field of work, prefer to work
alone. Flexible work arrangements also greatly attract people with special needs, which gives
them the freedom to choose where to do their work, thus providing them with an environment
that suits their health and personal needs.

2. What are some of the concerns executives have about flexible work arrangements?

Depending on the case study, there was management’s fear of flexible work arrangements that
they could lead to a decrease in communication and interaction between employees and that they
would lose communication skills among each other. This certainly has an impact on their
affiliation with the company, and it is one of the fears that any company that follows these
flexible arrangements may be subject to. It is a risk to protecting the company's data because
employees use the company's data and systems from different sites that may violate the privacy
of its data and steal it.

3. How do you see FWAs affecting a company's bottom line?

Flexible work arrangements affect the bottom-line positively . As a result, flexible work
arrangements provided employees with suitable environments that helped them focus, achieve
balance, and better mental health, thus increasing their creativity and achievement at work, and
this contributed fundamentally to increasing productivity and thus increasing the company’s
profits. Also, the impact of the flexible arrangements on the company was in terms of reducing
the costs it pays, such as the costs of offices, electricity, and public utilities in the company.
Certainly, the reduction in costs leads to increased profitability and liquidity and improved return
on investment. But on the other hand, if the flexible arrangements are not managed properly and
monitored continuously, this will certainly have a negative impact through the loss of
employees’ affiliation to the company and separation from its goals, mission and values.
