READING FASSAGE

When Peter arrived at school that Saturday morning, his friends were already

waiting at the parade square. "Shall we begin?" he asked expectantly. His friends nodded

in agreement.

Bala }aid out sheets of newspaper on the floor while Feter weighed them down with

various objects" Carol then took out a long piece of glossy, yellow cloth and placed it on

the newspapers.

An hour later, the group stood back and gazed at their banner with satisfaction.

The words "Welcome to East Green Secondary Schsol" stood out in vibrant colours. The

friends cansidered putting more decorations on the banner, but decided not to when Bala

said, "Simplicity is the bestl"

After tidying up, they walked around the parade square, admiring the banners that

other students were making for thelr school's Open House"

"The school will look so colourful once these banners are put up!" Peter said

excitedly,

"l hope lots of Primary Six students wlll come to visit," Carol squealed. "l can't wait

ts tell them all about our school!"
