Mode: Full time Duration: 1 Year
The University offers LL.M. One-Year Degree in five different specializations i.e. (1) Corporate and Commercial Laws; (2)
Intellectual Property Laws; (3) Constitutional Law; and (4) Personal Laws; and (5) Energy and Telecommunication Laws. It
reserves the right to expand the number of specializations and offer the specialization(s) subject to the availability of faculty, in
any given academic year.
One-Year LL.M. Course Curriculum The Course Curriculum will have the following compulsory papers: Research Methods and
Legal Writing; Comparative Public Law / System of Governance; and Law and Justice in a Globalizing World. They will also have
to write a Dissertation and face a Viva-Voce.
Admission Process
The admission shall exclusively be based on the performance of the candidate in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).
Eligibility Criteria
An LL.B Degree or an equivalent examination with a minimum of Fifty five percent (55%) of marks or its equivalent grade in
case of candidates belonging to General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories and Fifty percent (50%) of marks or its
equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in April/May are also eligible to apply.

The university was established in 2015. National Law University is a state university established by the Government of
Maharashtra via the Maharashtra National Law University Act (Maharashtra Act No. VI of 2014). The university is recognised by
the University Grants Commission (UGC). Maharashtra National Law University Nagpur is commonly known as National
Law University Nagpur or MNLU Nagpur. National Law University Nagpur is recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
