    Food Protection Manager Program
    Why is this important to anyone handling food?

    By January 2, 2010, at least one person in charge of a Risk 3 and 4 Retail Food Establishment must be a certified food
    protection manager. This 16 hr. course provides training in all areas of food safety and sanitation and prepares you to
    take the official ServSafe© certification exam. Passing the ServSafe© exam ensures your compliance with these newly
    adopted New Jersey food safety rules and the certification you will receive is valid for 5 years. The exam will be held
    at the conclusion of the training and is included with the cost. The course is open to all food establishments concerned
    with keeping their staff and patrons safe. You don’t have to be located in Gloucester County, or even New Jersey, to
    participate. This is a nationally recognized certification program available to all! For a limited time only, thanks to
    funding provided by the United States Department of Labor, Job Training Partnership we are able to offset two thirds
    of the cost! Don’t delay; register today!

    See below for additional important information:

    • The participant cost of $70.00 is available for a short time only thanks to funding by the United
    States Department of Labor, Community-Based Job Training Grant Program. Future offerings may
    not reflect this lower subsidized cost.

    • The cost does not include retesting for those participants who must re-take the exam. One exam is
    included with the cost of training. For retesting at a future date, a $50 fee will be required.

    • Class and testing fees are non-refundable.

    • For cancellations received at least one week prior to the training, the $70 fee will be applied to a
    future ServSafe© offering at Gloucester County College.
    • If Gloucester County College is forced to cancel a class, the participant will be placed in a future
    class at no additional cost.
