All You Need From Turbo To Tailpipe

Combination of NOx Storage Catalyst with Ammonia SCR

NSC SCR

NOx Storage Catalyst (NSC):

• removes NOX in cold start by passive NOX adsorption up
to 120 – 150°C – and release by desorption above 150°C
• increases NO2/NOX ratio to enhance NOX reduction
efficiency of the SCR

SCR:
• high DeNOx in operation window 180 – 400°C
• tolerant to high H2O content of 20–30% in the exhaust gas
• very low secondary emissions

Dinex NSC for H2 ICE

The NSC is designed store NOX at low temperatures and to generate NO2 in the
temperature operation window of the SCR to improve DeNOX efficiency.

Dinex SCR for H2 ICE -> KSCR4.2A

DeNOx performance of KSCR4.2A: NO and NO2 adjusted to the conversion of the NSC in the light off test.
The SV was chosen in respect to cold start conditions and average values in test cycles of a model engine.

NSC+SCR: Ultra low NOX < 10mg feasible

• Combination of NSC + SCR covers cold start up to start of AdBlue injection

• Overall emission reduction possible to reach less than 5mg/kWh including cold start conditions
