1. Aim

Establish a work methodology to achieve correct monitoring of the Installation of


Windows, taking into account the preventive measures associated with said
activity.

2. Scope

This procedure will apply to all operations and personnel involved in window
installation.

3. Responsibilities

3.1. From the Legal Representative


It is your responsibility to define the work fronts according to the general
work progress program.
He is directly responsible for ensuring that supervision is being carried out
according to procedure in compliance with the set and established
parameters.
It is responsible for complying and granting all necessary means to work
safely and comply with applicable legal regulations.
3.2. From the activity supervisor

It is the supervisor's obligation to be fully aware of the regulations to which


this procedure refers, as well as their scope and applications on site. In this
way the supervisor will be prepared to provide constant training to his
subordinates.

Based on the previous point, the supervisor must constantly evaluate the
performance of the workers who make up the crews, in order to clearly
identify their potential and defects, in order to guide them and specialize
them within the tasks, obtaining the best performance by concept. labour.

7. Process activities
7.1. Window installation
 Before starting the task, workers must equip themselves with the
personal protection elements necessary to carry out the work.
 Later, the status of the tools and extensions will be reviewed.
 To move windows it will be necessary to hold it with both hands. keeping
them upright. Never hold on to the flaps or overlaps. If the weight of the
window exceeds 25 kg, it must be moved by 2 or more people.
 If the work does not have the necessary safety measures to carry out the
work, contact the supervisor in charge of the task and do not start work
until the condition improves.
 Verify that there are adequate work surfaces to perform the task.
7.2. Installation process
 The distribution and arrangement of the window sashes and closures are
defined in the window detail.
 If poor transportation occurs, the blade will have squareness problems.
Correct by gently tapping the corner of the major diagonal.
 When presenting the frame in the feature, it must enter freely, without
forcing or cutting the profiles. Pressures should not be generated that
deform or cause warping in the window profiles. Otherwise, the only
solution is to correct the trait.
 Dock the window against the lintel, so that the largest gap or gap is on the
sill.
 Before tightening the screws, check the frame leads.
 The windows must be placed with a square. A carpenter's level (similar in
length to a window sash) should also be used for precise leveling of the
window, taking care that the sides always maintain their perpendicularity.

window profiles.
 It is important that the rails are clean and free of deformations, so as not to

8. Risk Prevention Considerations.


 Mandatory use of personal protection elements specifically: safety
harness, goggles, kid or multiflex gloves, safety footwear and safety
helmet.
 Noise is the most common agent of occupational diseases in this task, so
the use of hearing protection is essential.
 The fracture of glass and projection of particles due to cutting can cause
serious eye injuries.
 The worker is exposed to short puncture wounds when handling the
elements.
 The application of silicone can cause allergic skin reactions in some
people.
 The extensions to be used in the Work must meet the following
requirements: The extension must be made only with materials certified
by the SEC.
 The tools used in the Work must have Legrand type electrical
connectors, prohibiting the use of domestic type plugs and extensions.
 All electrical extensions must be reviewed and authorized by the
supervisors in charge of each activity. This inspection must be advised
by the person in charge of construction maintenance.
 Use of regulated and safe platforms to carry out the work.

7.2. Material Reception on Site

 Establish a place to protect the windows against possible falling material


from different levels.
 The stacking of windows must be vertical and with a certain inclination, to
avoid overturning.
