Instructions

 Teacher must pay attention to the theme of story, grammar and suggested
activities.
 SLOs(Student Learning Outcomes) must be focused.
 Teaching techniques should be selected from Teaching Techniques Manual.
 DLP(Daily Lesson Plan) must be prepared on provided sample format.
 During lecture, always focus on concept clarity and sequence of events in story.
 The complete content of writing must be explained to the students.
 Written assessment will be taken on note books.
 Tests mentioned in the planner are compulsory and teacher must keep
test record.
 Hand writing should be focused because marks of hand writing are included in
exams.
 During copy checking, correction must be given as reinforcement.

Listening & Speaking: Spoken English activities are the part of paper. Spoken
activities are mentioned in planner. Any relevant topic of spoken activity can be
given in exams. To enhance speaking and listening skills of students, spoken
activities will be done according to the planner

Dictation: Dictation is the best way to enhance listening and reading is to enhance
the speaking skill. In English lecture, these skills are polished side by side. Teacher
should focus on it daily.
Number of Dictation words from each unit must be as follows:
Class I: 8
Class II: 10
Class III: 12
Class IV: 14
Class V: 16
Dictation assessment is must.

Words to Know: New words must be introduced with correct pronunciation to the
students with their meanings.
Number of Words to know from each unit must be as follows:
Class I: 4
Class II:5
Class III: 6
Class IV: 7
Class V: 8

Sentences: C.W of words sentences will be done on note books. Sentences will be
made by students orally. Each student will make his own sentence. Teacher will help
the students but do not write on the board.
Number of Words/ Sentences from each unit must be as follows:

Class III: 6
Class IV: 7
Class V: 8

Reading: In “Oxford Modern English” reading section “Pre-Reading” has been given
in the start of every unit. Teacher should focus on “Pre-Reading”, “While Reading”
along with warm up activities.
Follow the steps of reading:
a. Model Reading
b. Explanatory Reading with Partial Recapitulation
c. Loud Reading by students
d. Silent Reading by students

Comprehension: In partial recapitulation, avoid collective answer by students.

Q/Ans will also be discussed in the class and answers will be composed by the
students.
Teacher will write only key words on board.

Grammar: Concept will be given on board without using books, workbook and after
that students will solve the activity by themselves.
Assessment of creative writing rhyming words & grammar topics will be conceptual.
Pay attention on weak and average students.

Creative Writing: Teacher should prepare the questionnaire and according to that
questionnaire. Brain storming will be done and through brain storming students will
compose the sentences and write by themselves with the help of teacher.

Tenses: Teacher should explain the tenses through examples and then tell them
formation and rules through examples. After concept clarity, Exercises must be solved
by students.
