Materials:

Yarn - Himalaya dolphin baby (or any of its analogues will do, for example, YarnArt dolce,
Wolans bunny baby, Himalaya velvet etc).
1. 1,5 of a skein of plush yarn (main color for body;
2. ¼ of a skein of plush yarn (pink color for ears and cheeks);
3. a little of white plush yarn for claws and whites of eyes;
4. a little of thin black yarn for eyes, eyebrows, eyelashes and elephant trunk;
5. safety eyes - 16 mm;
6. hook 4mm (or the size you usually work with plush yarn).
7. stuffing material;
8. long yarn needle for sewing parts.

Abbreviations:

MR – magic ring
sc – single crochet
hdc inc – 2 hdc crocheted together
inc - increase (2 sc crochet together)
dec – decrease
ch – chain stitch
sl st – slip stitch
BLO - back loops only
FLO - front loops only
() * n - repeat sequence in brackets n times
() – number of stitches in round/row

Insert safety eyes between rounds 12 and 13. The distance between eyes - 10sts (that is, 10sts
should be between the "legs" of the eyes),the distance between the extreme inner points of

Start to stuff the head.

Make 2 dec more.


Stuff the head to the end. Pull to close the hole (use a needle). Fasten off, cut the yarn and hide
the end inside the head.

Then start to crochet an elephant trunk


Find ch5 of the round 15, 3rd ch (central) of the chain will be the beginning of the 1st round. So
that marker of the beginning will be at the bottom of the trunk (in the middle).

Important! Decrease stitches of rounds 4 – 9 should be on the top, in the middle of the trunk.
Make additional sts if you need.

Tightening of eyes
Use a needle and a thread matching with the main yarn (you may also use dental floss).
In the picture, the letters indicate the insertion points of the needle when tightening; the
sequence is below

Mouth
8 sc in MRА (8) – do not tighten the ring.
(oe ch2, in 2nd ch - 7 sc)
Fasten off, cut the yarn, leaving long end for sewing.

Crochet first legs and arms, then the bode, because arm and legs we will crochet to the body.

Ears
The ear consists of 2 identical parts (differing only in color), which will be joined together.
Each part of ear work with TURNING ROWS. Make ch2 in the beginnig of each row.

1st part - cut off the yarn


2nd part - do not cut off the yarn
Join 2 part of the ear, after you crocheted both.
IMPORTANT!!! When joining the parts, do not forget that they should be mirrored to each
other.
Put 2 part to each other. Turn the inner part to face ourselves; insert the hook through both
layers, crochet around with sc. (work with the yarn you did not cut off)

Fasten off, cut the yarn, leaving long end for sewing.
When you finish both ears. Make the following: use a needle and the end of yarn, bend the
base of the ear and stitch it. Then sew the ears between rounds 6-14 of the head.

Make face:
Embroidery the whites of the eyes with a white plush yarn.
With a thin black thread, embroider the eyelash line, cilia (or you can glue eyelashes), eyebrows
and folds on the elephant trunk.

Crochet TAIL.
1. Insert your hook between rounds 9 and 10 of the body (on the back).
Come out the yarn and fasten with ch1.
2. Make ch10.

3. From 2nd ch from the hook: 9 sc.


4. Fasten off by tying a knot between the two ends of the yarn. Hide the end inside the body
(make sure that the knot "hidden" inside the body).
