02. Findings
2.1 The Influence of Artificial Intelligence on Employment Dynamics
2.1.1 Do you believe that AI will impact in the job market?
To gather data, a survey was conducted with the key question: "Do you believe that AI will
impact the job market?" The survey received a total of 101 responses.
The results overwhelmingly indicate that the majority of respondents believe AI will have a
significant impact on the job market. Specifically, 95 out of 101 respondents (94%) answered
"yes," indicating their belief that AI will indeed influence job dynamics, roles, and availability. In
contrast, only 6 respondents (6%) answered "no," suggesting they do not foresee AI having a
considerable impact on the job market.
These findings suggest a strong consensus among participants regarding the transformative
potential of AI in the employment sector. The high percentage of affirmative responses
underscores a widespread recognition of AI's capability to alter various job functions, automate
tasks, and potentially create new job categories while rendering some existing roles obsolete.
This data highlights the importance of addressing the implications of AI on workforce
development, education, and policy-making to ensure a smooth transition and mitigate any
adverse effects on employment.
6
The results reveal diverse opinions on the impact of AI on employment as, The majority of
respondents (34%) believe AI will replace existing jobs, leading to job displacement and
redundancy. However, 54% believe AI will create new job opportunities, enabling innovation
and expanding the job market. 13 respondents anticipate a significant reshaping of the job
landscape, with some jobs automated and new ones generated.
These findings indicate a predominant optimism regarding AI's potential to create new job
opportunities. However, a substantial portion of respondents also recognize the risk of job
displacement. The diverse perspectives highlight the complexity of AI's impact on employment,
suggesting that while AI-driven automation may render certain jobs obsolete, it simultaneously
holds the promise of fostering job creation in emerging sectors.
The survey received responses from a total of 101 participants, highlighting three main areas of
concern:
30 respondents expressed concerns about job loss due to AI implementation, with a focus on
repetitive tasks. 54 respondents cited a lack of human interaction as their primary concern,
fearing a more impersonal work environment. 17 respondents mentioned concerns about data
privacy, ethical considerations, reliability, and the potential to exacerbate job market inequalities.
These concerns reflect a broader range of anxieties related to AI.
The findings reveal a significant concern regarding the reduction of human interaction in the
workplace, which was the most frequently cited issue. This suggests that while the technical and
economic impacts of AI are important, the social and interpersonal consequences are equally
critical to many individuals. The concerns about job loss highlight the need for strategic planning
and policy measures to address potential unemployment and to support workforce transitions.

Discussions
3.1 The Influence of Artificial Intelligence on Employment Dynamics
The survey results clearly demonstrate a strong consensus among respondents regarding the
significant impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the job market. With 94% of participants
affirming their belief that AI will influence job dynamics, it is evident that there is widespread
recognition of AI's potential to transform various sectors of employment. This aligns with
broader research indicating that AI and automation are poised to both displace and create jobs
across multiple industries.
One of the critical implications of AI's integration into the workforce is the anticipated shift in
job roles. While some jobs, particularly those involving repetitive tasks, are at risk of being
automated, AI is also expected to create new job opportunities. This dual impact was highlighted
in the survey, reflecting a nuanced understanding among respondents that AI's influence is not
merely about job loss but also about the evolution and creation of new roles (OECD, 2023).
Furthermore, the widespread belief in AI's transformative power underscores the importance of
addressing the associated challenges. These include ensuring that workers are equipped with the
necessary skills to adapt to new technologies and managing the social and economic impacts of
such a transition. As McKinsey & Company (2023) suggests, the adoption of AI will require
significant workforce transitions, including the development of advanced technological skills and
the redesign of work processes to facilitate effective human-machine collaboration (McKinsey &
Company).
Overall, the survey results highlight a collective awareness of AI's potential to significantly
reshape the job market. This necessitates proactive measures in education, workforce training,
and policy-making to ensure a smooth transition and to harness the benefits of AI while
mitigating its adverse effects. As AI continues to evolve, its impact on the job market will likely
remain a critical area of focus for researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders.
The survey results provide a comprehensive insight into the diverse opinions regarding the
impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on employment. With a majority (54%) of respondents
believing that AI will create new job opportunities, there is a clear sense of optimism about AI’s
potential to drive innovation and expand the job market. This group anticipates that AI will foster
the development of new industries and roles, similar to how past technological advancements
have created entire sectors and job categories that did not previously exist (Semuels, 2020).
8
However, 34% of respondents express concern that AI will primarily replace existing jobs,
leading to job displacement and redundancy. This viewpoint is grounded in the reality that AI
and automation can efficiently perform tasks that are currently carried out by humans,
particularly in industries involving routine and repetitive processes. The potential for significant
job losses in sectors such as manufacturing, data entry, and customer service underscores the
need for strategic workforce planning and retraining programs.
Interestingly, 13% of respondents foresee a more nuanced impact, with AI both replacing certain
jobs and creating new ones. This perspective highlights the complexity of AI’s integration into
the job market, suggesting a dynamic reshaping of employment where automation of specific
tasks coexists with the creation of new roles that require advanced skills and capabilities. This
dual impact underscores the importance of developing a workforce that is adaptable and
capable of transitioning between different types of employment (Tech4Good, 2023)
The study underscores the need for a balanced approach to AI implementation in the workforce,
involving collaboration between policymakers, educators, and industry leaders to mitigate job
displacement risks and foster innovation and job creation.
The most frequently cited concern—lack of human interaction—reflects apprehension about the
social and interpersonal consequences of AI. This suggests that while the technical and economic
impacts of AI are significant, many individuals are equally, if not more, worried about how AI
might alter the human elements of work. The fear of an impersonal work environment indicates a
perceived threat to the quality of workplace interactions and the potential erosion of community
and teamwork dynamics. This aligns with broader discussions about AI's impact on social skills
and the potential for machines to replace roles that require empathy and human connection
(McKinsey & Company, 2023)
Concerns about job loss, highlighted by 30% of respondents, underscore the potential economic
disruption caused by AI, particularly in roles involving repetitive tasks. This concern is
consistent with research indicating that automation could displace a significant number of jobs,
particularly in sectors like manufacturing and administrative support (Reim et al., 2020).
The 17% of respondents who expressed concerns about data privacy, ethical considerations, and
reliability point to broader issues beyond immediate job impacts. The study highlights the need
for collaboration among policymakers, industry leaders, and educators to develop strategies to
mitigate risks associated with AI, ensuring ethical practices and fostering human interaction.
