Task:1 (15 Minutes)

Specific Objective: Learners will be able to

• Recognize the difference between newspaper report and


magazine report writing
• Become familiar with the format of the Report writing

• Learners are asked to read two sample writing piece one a newspaper
report and another magazine report. Learners have to read the two
samples and find differences and similarities between the two on the
basis of-
1. Language
2. Tenses
3. Purpose
4. Format
• After reading the samples teacher will ask few questions related to the
Report writing
1. Are there some differences in the newspaper report and magazine
report? If yes what are they?
2. Are there some similarities in the newspaper report and magazine
report? If yes what are they?
3. While writing a report what type of questions do we need to answer
in the opening paragraph? (Who, What, When, Where, Why and
How)
4. Teacher will negotiate the difference between the format of
Magazine report and news paper report.

Task:2 (15-20Minutes)

Specific Objective:

• Learners will be able to identify the type of sentences characters used.


• Learners will be able to infer the active to passive voice conversion rules.
• Learners will able to fill in the blanks according to passive voice.

• Teacher will tell this situation to learners and ask them to focus on the
sentence they are using. Ask them to focus on the structure of the
sentence.
Yashank and Lochna recently attended an event but because sort of time they
could not talk about the event. So, today decided to meet and have a
conversation about the day and how the things happened that day.

5. Can you name both type of sentences used by Yashank and Lochna?

• Then ask learners to read the report and fill the blanks with the help
of the verb provided in the brackets. Change them according to the
active passive conversion rules like Lochna and Yashank did in their
conversation
Cultural Society Sunshine Public School, Nellore organized an
adult literacy camp in its neighbourhood. Write a report in 150-
200 words on the camp for your school newsletter. You are P.V.

ADULT LITERACY CAMP

An adult literacy camp __________(organized) by Cultural Society
Sunshine Public School, Nellore in the school neighbourhood
yesterday extending educational options to those adults, who
have lost the opportunity and have crossed the age of formal
education. The activities of the camp __________(carried) out by
the cultural society of the school and there were a total of 25
volunteers.
The camp began with the welcome speech for the chief guest,
Mrs. Kavita Naik, a renowned social worker. 400 people were a
part of the camp. They __________(divided) into different groups in
accordance with their competencies.
They ___________(taught) the basics of being able to read and
write. Free books and stationery ____________(is providing) for
quality education. All the arrangements including desks and
blackboards _____________(did) in advance.
Apart from educational needs, special care __________(devoted) to
hygiene and sanitation. They ____________(taught) the basics of
cleanliness like types of wastes and their management.
Refreshments ___________(provided) to the participants. The
immense enthusiasm and zeal in the people to learn was the
main driving factor.
The chief guest distributed the certificates of participation
among the volunteers. The camp ended on a positive note. There
was an atmosphere of learning and growing together.
