TOPIC 1: ANIMALS

1.

Animal protection is a complex issue that sparks debate. Should humans take
responsibility for the well-being of animals? Personally, I believe we should do have a
moral obligation to protect them.

Firstly, many animals are sentient beings capable of feeling pain and suffering. As
humans with the ability to understand right from wrong, we shouldn't inflict
unnecessary harm on creatures who can feel it. Imagine being trapped in a cage or
subjected to painful procedures – it's simply wrong.

Secondly, animal populations play vital roles in healthy ecosystems. They're like cogs
in a complex machine, keeping everything in balance. From pollinating plants to
controlling prey populations, they're essential for a healthy planet. When animal
populations decline or some species go extinct, it can disrupt entire food chains and
harm biodiversity. This, in turn, can have negative consequences for us all.

Moreover, our relationship with animals can reflect broader societal values.
Cultivating empathy and respect for other species can foster a more humane and
ethical society overall. The treatment of animals often parallels how we treat other
vulnerable groups, suggesting that compassion towards animals can lead to greater
compassion towards fellow humans. By championing animal protection, we promote a
culture of kindness and ethical responsibility.

Finally, many believe animals have inherent value, independent of their usefulness to
humans. Since they are fellow living things on our earth, their existence deserves
respect.

In conclusion, perhaps through sustainable practices, responsible resource

management, and a shift in our perspective towards animals, we can find a way to
coexist on this shared planet.

2.

In today's world, significant resources are dedicated to animals, encompassing wildlife

conservation, research on endangered species, and the thriving pet industry. This
investment brings both benefits and challenges, leading to diverse perspectives on its
justification.

Firstly, there are significant costs involved in various domains. For pet owners,
expenses include food, veterinary care, and other maintenance costs. Additionally, the
time required for pet care, such as walking dogs, cleaning, and attending to their needs,
might limit the time available for other activities like personal development, family
commitments, or career advancement. In wildlife conservation, funding is required for
habitat preservation, anti-poaching efforts, and research. In agriculture, farmers invest
heavily in the health and well-being of their livestock to ensure productivity and food
safety

However, it's important to recognize the considerable benefits that come from
investing time and money in animals. Protecting endangered species such as tigers and
rhinos helps preserve biodiversity within ecosystems, which in turn plays a vital role in
regulating climate, purifying water, and providing essential resources for humans.
Moreover, animal research has led to groundbreaking medical discoveries, including
vaccines, antibiotics, and treatments for diseases like cancer.

Additionally, animals offer undeniable emotional and social value. Pets provide
companionship, reduce stress, and encourage physical activity, thereby enhancing
overall well-being. The profound bond between humans and animals significantly
enriches our quality of life.

Ultimately, this is a complex issue. Striking a balance is crucial. We can support

animal welfare and conservation while also addressing pressing human needs. By
doing so, we ensure a holistic approach that benefits both animals and humans.

TOPIC 2: ENVIRONMENT
1.

Solar energy is a powerful resource, but like most things, it has its pros and cons.

Firstly, solar power is a renewable resource with tremendous potential. Unlike fossil
fuels, which are finite and depleting, the sun provides an inexhaustible supply of
energy. Every day, the Earth receives more energy from the sun than the entire world
uses in a year. Solar panels capture this abundant energy and convert it into electricity
without emitting harmful pollutants, making them a critical tool in the fight against
climate change. As global temperatures rise and the effects of climate change become
more pronounced, reducing greenhouse gas emissions is imperative, and solar energy
will offer a viable solution to help mitigate this crisis.

Secondly, solar energy can significantly reduce our reliance on traditional power grids.
By generating their own electricity, homes and businesses can become more energy-
independent and potentially lower their electricity bills. This decentralization of
power production can also improve the resilience of our energy infrastructure.

However, solar energy also comes with limitations. The initial cost of installing solar
panels can be high, although these costs have been steadily decreasing. Additionally,
solar energy production depends on sunlight, meaning it generates less power on
cloudy days or in areas with limited sunlight. While solar energy is generally
considered clean, the manufacturing process for solar panels can involve the use of
some hazardous materials.

In conclusion, solar energy holds immense potential. Its clean and ability to reduce
dependence on fossil fuels make it a critical solution for a sustainable future. While
some challenges remain, ongoing technological advancements are paving the way for a
future powered by the sun.

With a person with eating soul, I willing to pay more for environmentally friendly
food because they brings

Honestly, paying more for eco-friendly food feels like an investment in several
positive areas. First and foremost, it's a clear vote for a healthier environment.
Knowing that my food comes from sustainable practices gives me the assurance that I
am reducing my environmental footprint.

Sustainable agriculture often involves minimized reliance on synthetic pesticides and

fertilizers, and practices that enhance soil health and biodiversity. These methods help
preserve ecosystems, protect wildlife habitats, and reduce pollution. It's a small step,
but every purchase feels like a contribution to a larger solution, supporting the
movement towards a more long-term and resilient planet.

Second, eco-friendly food often translates to better quality. Sustainable farming

methods frequently prioritize healthy soil and natural pest control. This can lead to
tastier, more nutritious produce. Additionally, humane animal welfare practices often
associated with eco-friendly farms can result in better quality meat and dairy products.
In essence, I'm paying a premium for food that's not only good for the planet, but
potentially even better for me!

Overall, I believe paying a premium for eco-friendly food is a worthwhile investment,

It's a small price to pay for the significant benefits of a healthier planet, better-quality
food, and responsible food production. By making these choices, I'm contributing to a
durable future, supporting ethical farming practices, and promoting my own health and
well-being.

TOPIC 3: TRANSPORTATION

1.

Both the airplane and the car are incredibly important inventions that have had a
profound impact on human society, but it is challenging to definitively say which one
is more important overall, as their significance can vary depending on the context in
which they are considered.

The car revolutionized transportation on land, providing people with a convenient and
efficient means of travel that greatly expanded their mobility and freedom. The
widespread adoption of automobiles has had far-reaching effects on urban
development, commerce, and personal lifestyles. Cars have played a crucial role in
shaping modern society, influencing everything from infrastructure to culture.

On the other hand, the airplane transformed long-distance travel and global
communication by making it possible to travel quickly and efficiently across vast
distances. Air travel has connected people and cultures in ways that were previously
unimaginable, facilitating trade, tourism, and international cooperation. The airplane
has also been instrumental in advancing technology and scientific research.
In terms of sheer impact on global connectivity and commerce, the airplane may be
considered more important, as it has made the world more interconnected and
accessible in ways that the car cannot replicate. However, the car's influence on
everyday life and the development of urban and suburban landscapes cannot be
understated.

Ultimately, both inventions have had a profound impact on society, and their
importance is difficult to compare directly. They have each contributed in unique ways
to shaping the modern world, and their significance is best understood in the context of
the specific roles they play in human civilization.

2.

The way we travel is constantly evolving, and the next 50 years promise even more
dramatic transformations. Imagine a world where flying taxis whisk you across the
city, or self-driving pods ferry you to work – a future where transportation is not just
about getting from point A to point B, but a seamless and potentially enjoyable
experience.

One of the most significant changes we're likely to see is the dominance of self-driving
vehicles. These autonomous cars, buses, and even flying taxis would revolutionize
transportation, making it safer and more efficient. Imagine the convenience of hailing
a self-driving pod for your daily commute, or scheduling a flying taxi to the airport –
all without the stress of navigating traffic or parking.

Furthermore, sustainability will be a major driving force. Electric vehicles are already
making waves, and this trend is sure to accelerate. We can expect a future where not
just cars, but airplanes and even cargo ships are powered by clean, renewable energy
sources. This transition to electric transportation would be a major win for the
environment, helping to curb greenhouse gas emissions and create cleaner air for
everyone.

Traffic congestion, a major source of frustration today, could become a relic of the
past. With self-driving vehicles handling commutes, we might even see a shift
towards more flexible work schedules, allowing people to live further from their
offices without sacrificing productivity.
Despite these challenges, the future of transportation is brimming with exciting
possibilities. While we can't predict the exact shape it will take, one thing's for sure:
the journey ahead is sure to be fascinating!

TOPIC 4: CUSTOMS AND TRADITIONS

1.

Vietnam boasts a rich tapestry of traditions, but few hold such profound significance
as ancestor worship. This isn't just a ritual; it's a cornerstone of Vietnamese culture.

The roots of ancestor worship stretch back centuries, influenced by Confucianism's

emphasis on filial piety – honoring and respecting one's parents and ancestors.
Vietnamese believe that after death, the spirits of loved ones continue to exist,
watching over and influencing their descendants. This belief fosters a powerful sense
of responsibility towards those who came before us.

The practice itself is quite visible. Step into most Vietnamese homes, and you'll find a
dedicated altar, often placed in the living area. Here, offerings are meticulously
arranged – steaming bowls of rice, fresh fruit, and lit incense sticks. The fragrant
smoke is believed to carry prayers and well wishes to the ancestral realm. These
offerings are a way to express gratitude for the sacrifices and guidance our ancestors
provided, ensuring their continued well-being in the afterlife.

Ancestor worship transcends the walls of the home. Communal ceremonies are held
during major holidays like Tet, the Vietnamese New Year. Families flock to ancestral
tombs, meticulously cleaning and adorning them with flowers and offerings. These
gatherings serve a dual purpose – honoring the past while strengthening family bonds
in the present

In today's fast-paced world, ancestor worship serves as a vital reminder of our roots. It
encourages us to cherish family ties and fosters a sense of responsibility for future
generations. It's a beautiful testament to the enduring power of tradition, reminding us
that even in death, the connection between ancestors and descendants remains strong.

2.
Absolutely! Technology has definitely changed the way we give gifts. In the past, it
might have involved a trip to the mall and hoping you found something the recipient
would like.

On the positive side, technology has made gift-giving way more convenient. Now, you
can shop online from anywhere, at any time, and even get the gift delivered straight to
the person's door. It's also opened up a wider selection of options. You can find unique
and personalized gifts that you wouldn't have been able to find in a local store. Plus,
some websites even recommend gifts based on the recipient's interests, which can be a
lifesaver if you're struggling for ideas!

However, there can be downsides too. Sometimes, the ease of online shopping can
make gift-giving feel a bit impersonal. It can lose that special touch of picking
something out yourself, browsing through the aisles, and finding the perfect item.
Also, with online returns being so easy, there's a risk that the gift itself becomes less
valuable. In the past, a gift was something you cherished because it was chosen
specifically for you.

Overall, I think technology has had both positive and negative impacts on gift-giving
traditions. It's definitely made things more convenient, but it's important to remember
the true meaning behind giving a gift - to show someone you care.

TOPIC 5: HEALTH AND FITNESS

1.

Stress and anger are a part of life, and for me, managing them is crucial to staying
focused and productive. I've developed a few techniques that work well for me, and
today I'd like to share two of them with you.

The first technique is deep breathing. When I start to feel overwhelmed or my temper
flares, I take a moment to focus on my breath. There's a great method called 4-7-8
breathing. You breathe in slowly through your nose for four seconds, hold your breath
for seven seconds, and then exhale completely through your mouth for eight seconds.
It sounds simple, but concentrating on this pattern has a calming effect. It slows my
heart rate, and after a few cycles, I feel much calmer and can approach the situation
with a clearer head.

Another technique that works well for me is taking a short break and refocusing my
mind. It's all too easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of tasks and deadlines, but
giving yourself permission to step away for a few moments can make a world of
difference in your mental well-being. I might go for a walk outside, listen to some
calming music. Physical movement, such as stretching or gentle exercise, can also
release built-up tension in my body and improve circulation, leaving me feeling calm
when I return to my work.

By incorporating these techniques into my routine, I've found I can better manage
stress and anger. They allow me to stay calm and collected, even in challenging
situations. Everyone is different, of course, but hopefully sharing my experiences
might inspire you to find what works best for you.

2.

So, when it comes to living to 100, I believe it's all about finding that perfect balance
between taking care of your body and nurturing your mind and soul. Picture this:
you're on a journey towards reaching the century mark, and you've got two trusty
companions by your side – healthy habits and a positive outlook on life.

On the health side, I swear by regular exercise. You don't need a gym membership –
simple stroll through nature can do wonders for you. It will clears your head and keeps
your body strong. Plus, it's a great way to connect with friends or family for a walk-
and-talk session.

But physical health is just one piece of the puzzle. We can't ignore the impact that
stress has on our well-being. Have you ever heard of the 4-7-8 breathing technique?
It's like a mini vacation for your mind. Just a few moments of focusing on your breath,
inhaling for 4 seconds, holding for 7, and exhaling for 8, can bringing you back to a
place of calm and clarity.

Now, let's talk about the softer side of longevity - positive outlook on life. Imagine
being surrounded by friends and family, sharing laughter, and creating memories that
warm your heart. Strong social connections are like the glue that holds everything
together. They provide support, comfort, and a sense of belonging that nourishes your
soul and makes life truly meaningful.

So, that's my approach – a healthy body and a positive mind. It might not guarantee
100 years, but it sure sets you on a good path!

TOPIC 6: DISCOVERY AND INVENTION

1.

Smartphones and apps have become an undeniable force in our lives. These little
devices have fundamentally changed the way we connect with information, the world
around us, and even ourselves.

One of the most dramatic changes is in how we access information. Gone are the days
of bulky encyclopedias or waiting for library hours. Now, with a few taps, I can
research anything from the migration patterns of monarch butterflies to complex
astrophysics concepts. This instant access to knowledge has fueled my curiosity in a
way that would have been unimaginable just a decade ago.

Another area where smartphones shine is convenience. Take food delivery apps, for
example. Before, a night in meant planning dinner or venturing out in bad weather.
Now, with a few clicks, I can have a delicious meal delivered to my doorstep – a
lifesaver on busy workdays or lazy weekends.

However, it's important to acknowledge the potential downsides. The constant barrage
of notifications and the ease of getting sucked into social media can be a real drain on
our focus and productivity. Finding a healthy balance between the incredible benefits
and potential pitfalls is key.

Overall, smartphones and apps are powerful tools that have undeniably improved
many aspects of our lives. By using them consciously and strategically, we can
leverage their strengths while mitigating their weaknesses.

2.

There are so many life-changing inventions in this world that it is hard for me to
choose one. However, considering what springs to my mind at the moment, I think I
would describe the Internet.
Needless to say, the Internet helps connect people from all around the globe within a
nanosecond. In the past, it would take ages for us to send and receive messages from
someone, as mailing was the only means of communication back then.

However, thanks to the Internet, we can now send messages and make calls
immediately. Moreover, we can even communicate and work with people from
different parts of the world, as shown in how virtual classrooms and meetings have
grown dramatically in popularity in recent years.

And of course, it is impossible not to mention the recreational and educational values
that the Internet brings. Should we struggle to find an answer to a specific question,
using search engines such as Google has been proven to be extremely useful here.

Most importantly, what I love about the Internet is that thanks to it, people nowadays
are having better access than ever to different entertainment programmes. We can
literally do everything with the help of the Internet, from watching movies, listening to
music to playing mobile games. This is even better when no fees are charged when we
use such features on the Internet.

Overall, I believe that there are so many inventions that have made our world a better
place, and the Internet is one of the most revolutionary one.

TOPIC 7: FASHION

1.

Uniforms might seem like a relic of the past, but they hold surprising advantages in
many situations. Let's explore some of the ways uniforms can actually benefit us.

One major benefit is the elimination of decision fatigue. Imagine the mornings you
could save without agonizing over what to wear! Uniforms streamline getting ready,
especially for students who might otherwise spend ages picking out an outfit. This
frees up mental space for what truly matters, whether it's focusing on schoolwork or
tackling a busy workday.

Beyond practicality, uniforms can foster a sense of belonging and community. When
everyone wears the same clothing, it creates a visual sense of unity. This can be
especially helpful in schools, where students from diverse backgrounds come together.
A uniform becomes a symbol of being part of a team, promoting school spirit and
reducing competition based on clothing choices.

Furthermore, uniforms can even play a role in safety. In some workplaces, high-
visibility uniforms are essential to keep employees safe. Similarly, standardized
uniforms in schools can make it easier to identify students and visitors, potentially
increasing security.

Of course, uniforms aren't a one-size-fits-all solution. Self-expression through

clothing is important, and uniforms shouldn't stifle individuality entirely. However, the
advantages they offer, from reduced distractions to a stronger sense of community,
make uniforms a surprisingly positive force in many environments.

2.

Fashion in Vietnam has come a long way in the last 50 years. It's fascinating to see
how it's transformed from traditional to modern, reflecting the country's own
development.

Before the 1970s, Vietnamese clothing was all about tradition. People wore beautiful
garments like the Áo Dài, a long tunic dress, and the Áo Bà Ba, a set of loose pants
and top. These clothes weren't just stylish, they also showed your social status and
cultural background. But after the war, things changed. Practicality became more
important, and simpler clothing like long pants and shirts became the norm.

The 1980s were a turning point. Vietnam opened up to the world, and with it came
Western fashion. Jeans, t-shirts, and skirts became a symbol of a new era, offering
more freedom of expression. Today, especially among young people, Vietnamese
fashion is all about global trends. Fast fashion has made trendy clothes affordable, and
you see all sorts of styles on the streets, from sporty to chic.

Interestingly, tradition hasn't been forgotten. The Áo Dài is still worn for special
occasions, and there are even modern variations with bolder colors and patterns.

The biggest change I see is the rise of individuality. Vietnamese people are no longer
afraid to experiment with fashion. They mix and match trends, and social media has
given rise to a whole new wave of fashion influencers showcasing diverse styles. So,
Vietnamese fashion today is a vibrant mix of tradition, global trends, and a growing
emphasis on personal expression.

TOPIC 8: ECONOMICS

1.

That's a great question! There are actually several ways young people can make some
money these days. Let's focus on options for both younger kids and teenagers.

For younger kids, doing chores around the house is a classic way to earn a little cash
while learning responsibility. They can help out with things like sweeping,
vacuuming, or taking out the trash. For example, my younger brother started mowing
the lawn for our neighbor last summer and saved up enough to buy that new video
game he wanted.

Teenagers have a wider range of options.Nowadays, many restaurants, retail stores,

and grocery stores hire teenagers for part-time positions. This is a great way to gain
valuable work experience while earning some money.

But what if teenagers have some specific skills or interests? They can explore
freelance work online in areas like writing, graphic design, or even social media
management if they're creative and tech-savvy. On the other hand, if a teen excels in a
particular subject, tutoring younger students can be a rewarding way to make some
money while sharing their knowledge.

So, as we've seen, there are options for young people of all ages to earn some money.
But overall, earning money can be a great learning experience for young people,
teaching them responsibility, time management, and the value of a dollar!

2.

There's no one-size-fits-all answer to whether designer clothes and expensive cars are
worth it. It really depends on your priorities and financial situation.

Designer clothes are often considered works of art. The craftsmanship, attention to
detail, and luxurious materials used can be extraordinary. Imagine donning a
meticulously tailored suit that not only fits perfectly but also enhances your
confidence, making you feel empowered and ready to conquer any challenge. The
aesthetics, comfort, and durability of designer clothing can be far superior to mass-
produced items. They can also offer a unique style statement, setting you apart in a
crowd.

Similarly, expensive cars are engineered to provide exceptional performance, cutting-

edge technology, and luxurious comfort. Driving a high-end car can be an exhilarating
experience, with features like advanced safety systems, superior handling, and
powerful engines. For car enthusiasts, the joy of owning a finely crafted automobile
can be a significant part of their identity and passion.

But let's be real, the price is a big consideration. You could

easily spend a small fortune on a single designer outfit. And
forget about keeping up with the latest trends - designer
clothes can go out of style quickly! Similarly, expensive cars
are notorious for depreciation. The second you drive it off, it
loses a significant chunk of its value.
Ultimately, the decision is personal. Just remember, there are fantastic alternatives out
there. People can find stylish clothes at more affordable prices. And a reliable, well-
maintained car can get people where they need to go just as well as a luxury model.
