2024 Secondary 2 Mid-Year Holiday Assignments

Notes to Students
1. The mid-year holiday is a season for us to rest physically and mentally so that we can be fully recharged for Semester 2.

2. The following assignments are carefully selected by the teachers to help you bridge your current learning gaps, or to prepare you for future topics in the next semester.

3. You may identify an area of special interest in a related field, and read about it pervasively, in English and Mother Tongue Languages, to deepen your knowledge.

4. You are strongly advised to read about global issues, reflect on these readings, and learn to use them to support your learning in subjects like Social Studies, Humanities
and the Languages.

5. You are advised to spread the work out evenly and adhere to the recommended durations for each of the assignment. Students are strongly advised not to accumulate
the assignments or rush to complete them in one sitting.

6. The following table is a generic table for the whole level. You are to complete only the assignments of the subjects that you take. You are to follow the deadlines
strictly.

7. Assignments labelled [SELF-DIRECTED] are optional. You are encouraged to attempt them to extend and/or consolidate your learning but there will be no deadline for
these assignments. Answer keys are provided together with these assignments for you to assess your proficiency.

8. Please seek your teachers’ help for further instructions if necessary.
