First Semester 2024
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course focuses on the exegesis of Greek New Testament, providing students to interpret the biblical text
accurately by using all available resources such as Logos Bible Software. The course aims to teach students the
advanced Greek Grammar, including special emphasis on various uses of Greek cases, article, verbs and tenses.
Prerequisite: BL522 (Greek Grammar I & II).
COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
1) Exegete any text in the New Testament
2) Use all available resources (e.g. Logos) related to Greek New Testament
3) Determine the most likely meaning of Greek text by using Daniel B. Wallace’s The Basics of New
Testament Syntax
4) Utilize commentaries written with a scholarly approach.
5) Incorporate knowledge of Greek appropriately into sermons.
REQUIRED TEXTS
The Basics of New Testament Syntax: An Intermediate Greek Grammar by Daniel B. Wallace
Other Articles to be given by the instructor.
REQUIREMENTS
Attendance is required for every class period.
Students must come to class prepared with their work.

Reading Assignments (30 % of Final Grade)
Read The Basics of New Testament Syntax: An Intermediate Greek Grammar by Daniel B. Wallace.
Also read other articles given by the instructor. See the detailed schedule for reading below.

Workbook Exercises (10 % of Final Grade)


Every chapter includes exercises that the instructor will assign at the end of class.
