General
Description
The TYCO DV-5 Double Interlock Pre-
action System with Electric/Electric
Actuation (Fig. 1) is designed for use
in applications, such as refrigerated
areas, requiring the maximum degree
of protection against inadvertent flood-
ing of the sprinkler system piping.
The DV-5 Double Interlock Preaction
System with Electric/Electric Actua-
tion utilizes a DV-5 Deluge Valve and
a Riser Check Valve. The Riser Check
Valve (that does not require the use
of priming water) isolates the Deluge
Valve from the system air pressure. The
releasing trim for the Deluge Valve uti-
lizes a Solenoid Valve that is operated
by energizing the releasing circuit of a
