The CORE Telecom Engineer’s role requires a person who will be working in an internationally distributed team across
the organization. Primary duties will consist of managing Customer’s telco network to provide best in class delivery of
various services such as Voice, SMS and Data. The CORE Telecom Engineer will also help build the new IoT networks of
thefuture together with our architects with next generation telco and network elements. The evolving core network is
beingbuilt with customer’s vision to be the leading IoT and MVNE independent provider in the 4G/5G segment and thus
offers a unique opportunity for engineers to help build and maintain the engines of the future.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform customer and carrier facing network problem resolution.


• Heavily involved in the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of new and existing
network infrastructure
• Participate in documented standard processes and procedures of infrastructure management
including change management, VPN access, project task delivery, failover procedures, disaster
recovery plans, etc.
• Work closely with the global network and systems engineering teams to deploy and support new
hosted network products and services.
• Administer and maintain regional operator and network performance monitoring systems.
• Follow and support security strategies and best practices for safeguarding infrastructure resources.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call network support rotation.
• Serve as escalation point for Tier2 Support issues requiring network expertise.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Engineering Graduation in Electronics and Communication.


• 5+ years of hands-on experience in supporting and maintaining CORE nodes in Telecom.
(HSS/HLR,STP,DRA, GGSN, SGW, PGW, DNS, GTP-Proxy, PCRF etc.)
• Fundamental knowledge of the packet core elements such as HLR/HSS,STP,DRA,GGSN, SGW, PGW,
DNS, GTP-Proxy, PCRFnodes in a 2G/3G/4G network
• Fundamental knowledge of IP routing & switching elements such as Routers, switches, firewall etc.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• University degree in Engineering


• 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in CORE Telecom domain
• Industry certifications – Linux/Oracle/Cisco/VMware
• Solid technical background with hands on experience in digital telecommunications
• Working with issue management systems (JIRA, Zendesk)

• Ability to absorb large amounts of technical knowledge.


• Ability to Troubleshoot data connectivity problems in 2G/3G/4G Data.
• Clear communication and documentation skills
• Microsoft suite (MS word, Excel & Teams)
• Analyze, Diagnostics and optimistic for problem-solving skills.
