had simply copied all the shortcuts to the videos.

4.1 Explain what a PAN is.

Question 5: Social Implications

5.1 An ergonomically designed keyboard can reduce the risk of injuries caused by using the
keyboard extensively over a period of time.
5.1.1 Give the general name for this type of injury. (1)
5.1.2 Give the meaning of the term ‘ergonomically designed’. (1)
5.1.3 Name one ergonomic feature that you would find on an ergonomically designed
keyboard. (1)
5.1.4 Give TWO health tips for using computers, besides using ergonomically designed
equipment. (2)
5.2 Green computing and the responsible handling of e-waste are part of good computer
practice.
5.2.1 Explain what the term green computing means. (2)

5.2.2 Briefly describe what e-waste is. (2)

5.2.3 Mention TWO specific ways in which you can make a positive contribution to green
computing, besides saving paper. (2)

5.3 One of the most important rules of netiquette with respect to using e-mail is to avoid
sending large attachments.
5.3.1 How would you reduce the size of a large Word document that needs to be sent as
an attachment, besides changing any of the contents of the document? (2)
5.3.2 Give another method (other than the one used in the previous answer) to
reduce the size of a photo that needs to be sent as an attachment. (1)
5.3.3 Give ONE other rule of netiquette related to the use of e-mail, besides not sending
large attachments. (1)
