Importance of Personal Health for Active Living

Objectives: In this lesson, the learners are expected to learn the following:
1. Identify the concept and importance of personal health for active living; and
2. Create simple drawing that shows the concept and importance of personal health.

Material Needed: Sheet of paper Duration: 45 minutes


Instructions: The activities found in this worksheet are intended to let you understand the
lesson clearly. Listen and wait for the instructions to be given by your teacher before doing each
activity. Use separate sheet of paper in answering the activities.

Activity 1: Jigsaw Puzzle


1. Your class will be grouped into 4.
2. Each group will receive an envelope containing a picture that you will assemble.
3. Each group will be given 1 minute to arrange the jigsaw puzzle.
4. The first to complete the jigsaw puzzle correctly wins the activity.

After the activity, answer these questions:


1. Describe what you see in the pictures.
2. Do you practice these activities regularly? Why or why not?

Activity 2: "Healthy Habits Collage"


Directions: Listen carefully to your teacher for the instructions.
The following materials are needed for the activity:
1. Magazines, newspapers, or printed images of various foods, physical activities, sleep, hygiene,
and emotions
2. Scissors, glue, and colored construction paper
3. Markers or crayons

Activity 3-Jumbled Letters


Directions: Arrange the jumbled letters based on the given meanings and descriptions below.
Use a separate sheet of paper for your answers.

Activity 4- Picture Analysis


Directions: Analyze the two pictures. Encircle the picture which shows proper health hygiene
and active living.

Activity 5: Role-Play on Exploring Disregard for Personal Health


Materials Needed: Scenario cards (prepared in advance) describing different situations where
personal health is disregarded, props (optional) to make the scenarios more realistic and
engaging.
Your teacher will present the rubric as the basis of your performance.

Activity 6: True or False


Directions: Read the following statements carefully. Write TRUE if the statement is correct and
FALSE if it's incorrect. Write your answer on a separate sheet of paper.
