SSC CGL 2024 Exam Pattern: Tier 1 and Tier 2 Exam Pattern & Analysis
Highlights
The SSC has launched its new website this year in February. Now the Staff Selection Commission's (SSC) official website is ssc.gov.in.
The SSC is expected to release the notification for the CGL Examination by the 11th of June, 2024.

The questions in the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam are asked from the following topics:
English Comprehension 25 50
Please note that the SSC CGL 2024 Tier 2 will consist of MCQ questions in Session 1 and will have a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong
answer.
Section 3 – Module I: Computer Knowledge Module 20 20*3 = 60 15 Minutes (20 minutes for scribe candidates)
Module-II: Data Entry Speed Test Module – 2000 Key Depressions - - 15 Minutes (20 minutes for scribe candidates)

SSC CGL Tier 2 exam is usually moderate in difficulty and the computer knowledge section is easy to clear for the aspirants.
Paper I: Session I 2 Hours & 15 Minutes English Language and Comprehension Easy to Moderate
1. Quantitative Aptitude
Arithmetic Percentages, Profit and Loss, Simple and Compound Interest, Time and Work, Time, Speed and Distance. Easy to Moderate
Data Interpretation Tables, Pie Charts, Bar Graphs, Line Graphs. Easy to Moderate
2. English Language:
Vocabulary Synonyms, antonyms, one-word substitutions, Spell check, idioms and phrases Difficult
Understand the Concepts: You need to know and understand the different types of reasoning questions asked and practice.
Develop your Logical Thinking: This will happen when you keep solving puzzles, riddles, and logical reasoning problems regularly.
Master Time Management: This is the key to your success. Learn and apply to manage your time efficiently during the exam. You can use timers for practice.
Analyze PYPs: Analying previous years papers gives you a fair idea of how your preparation should be as it helps you to understand the pattern and types of
questions asked in the exam.
