Check List and Information For Stamped Visa
This visa does not require a prior authorization from the National Migration Service but must be
requested from the Consul of Panama in the host country. This visa is a tourist visa and will be
stamped and authorized for a period of 1 to 3 months. You must request the visa from the Visa
Section at least 10 days before your flight, and the requested time period must correlate with your
flight schedule. If the visa is issued for 3 months, you may not seek extension in Panama Migration
Department, as it is the maximum time of stay in our country for such visa holders.
Citizens of the following countries need to have a stamped Tourism Visa in their passport to
enter Panama:

Per the current regulations, based on the Executive Decree No. 591 of December
28th, 2016, which dictates that any person regarding his or her nationality, holding a valid visa or
temporary residence permit of one of the following countries:
That has been previously used to enter the issuing country at least once and still valid
at least one year at the moment the its planned to travel to Panama (not a transit visa, it need to be
multiple entrances), is allowed entry to Panama without having a stamped visa. The duration of
stay under this decree is granted for 30 days, which can be extended at the Immigration Offices in
Panama City
If you do not full fill the requirement previously mentioned, you need to apply for a
Consular Visa.
This means you can apply troughs the Consulate of Panama based in Pretoria South
Africa. We will receive the visa fee and issue the correspondent receipts. We take 10 working days
to process your application form and if everything is in order a final decision will be taken by the
General Consul but if it is missing one requirement, we will not be able to start the process.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
We comply with the Rule enclosed with the Note Number SNM-DG-857-2017
issued by the Migration Service of Panama about the apparition of the applicant to submit his
application to the General Consulate of Panama based in Pretoria, South Africa, no scanned
documents or DHL will be allowed.

1.- VISA APPLICATION FORM (APPLICANTS MUST SIGN AS IN THEIR PASSPORT), IF SOMEBODY
NEEDS TO APPLY FOR YOU THEY NEED TO HAVE POWER OF ATTORNEY.
2.- COPY OF EACH PAGE OF THE PASSPORT WITH AT LEAST THREE MONTHS OF VALIDITY, FROM
COVER TO COVER.
3.- SECOND ID (PLEASE BE ADVISED, JUST OFFICIAL IDS ISSSUED BY YOUR COUNTRY WILL BE
ACCEPTED, NO PRIVATE DOCUMENTS
4.- THREE PHOTOGRAPHS
5.- APPLICANT’S ECONOMIC SOLVENCY, NO LESS THAN $500.00 AMERICAN DOLLARS, YOU CAN
PROVE YOUR SOLVENCE AS FOLLOWED:
E. CREDIT CARD WITH A STATEMENT OF THE LAST MONTH THAT REFLECTS AVAILABLE
BALANCE
6.- FLIGHT SCHEDULE (not flight ticket we will not responsible for the price is the visa is denied).
7.- Yellow Fever Vaccine Carnet
The Visa Fee: The Visa Fee is R. 990.00 Rand (ZAR) but it may change depending on the
currency exchange rate of the day that you submit your application.
The visa fee may be deposited in the Consular Account in Rand, the Banking Details
are:
N.B. If you are doing an international transfer please advise your bank that the amount
of R 990.00 (ZAR) must be deposited into our account without any banking deduction
for the transfer. Deposit the fee one day before or the same day of your appointment to
submit your visa application.

For the submission, you need to make an appointment from Monday to Thursday, 9h00
to 13h00, telephone number for appointments 012 346 0703 or send an email to
visas@panamaembassy.co.za. It takes 10 working days to approve or deny the
application for a Panama Tourism Visa (Except Cuba, Rep. Dominican and Venezuela
Nationals, you need to apply at least 70 days prior traveling).
