General Appearance
1. Is the Crane visually in good and clean condition?
2. Are the accessory properly stored?
3. Are the storage containers/boxes clean and well arranged?
Mechanical System
1. Are the pressure gauges operational?
2. Is the wind Screen clean with good visibility?
3. Are crane and winch controls well positioned?
4. Any oil leak from the engine?
5. Tyres condition okay and all tyre bolts present and tight?
6. Is swing lock device operational?
7. Is the crane deck tidy and clean of oil spill?
8. Engine sound okay?
Hydraulic System
1. Are hoses in good condition?
2. Is there any leak in the hoses or valve?
3. Is the hydraulic level okay?
Electrical System
1. Battery terminals okay-positive terminal properly protected?
2. Is writing okay-no exposed wire or poorly terminated cable?

3. Lights (brake, parking, revers, Head light and flash light) and indicators okay?

4. Are lights operational?


5. All dash board and gauges working correctly?

Safety System

2. Is cable correctly terminated
3. Is the hook rating adequate for SWL?
4. Are operating levers clearly labeled?
5. Inertial type seat belts installed?
6. Are slings/chains certified and colour coded according to requirement?
7. Are all safety guards installed?
Statutory Requirements
1. Has the crane a valid third party Survey Certificate?
2. Are the registration papers valid?
3. Does the operator possess a valid crane operator certificate?
