Compare/Contrast between Rickshaw and CNG Driven Auto Rickshaw.
We use various modes of vehicles for our everyday transportation. Differing

types of vehicles vary their purposes and features. We decide on a specific vehicle
for several reasons including our urgency, ability to hold the fare, availability of
that vehicle, and useful features. CNG driven auto rickshaw and rickshaw are
two most used vehicles which we use in our everyday transportation. These
vehicles are different mainly in their design, speed and use. ( There are
similarities and differences between CNG driven auto rickshaw and
rickshaw in their design, speed and use.)
The most notable difference between these two vehicles is their design, although
both are environmentally friendly. The rickshaw is sometimes a tricycle while the
CNG could be a three-wheeler. The rickshaws need peddling while the CNGs are
driven by a motor powered by compressed natural gases. Rickshaws typically
have a seat which might be shared with two persons at a time; there's a veil behind
the seat which will be kept down or will be used, if needed, to shield from sun or
rain and mud. Generally, the driver sits on a seat sort of a cycle ahead of the
passengers to pedal the rickshaw. The foremost typical design of a CNG may be
a sheet-metal body or open-frame based on three wheels, and there is a canvas
roof with drop-down side curtains. There's a seat for passengers which may be
shared between three persons. A tiny low cabin at the front for the driving force
with handlebar control is separated from the passenger's seat with a wire mesh
wall. Because of two-wire mesh doors that secure the passenger seat on each side
of the vehicle, they are also safer to travel in, especially within the night. All
CNGs are painted green to suggest that the vehicles are eco-friendly which
everyone incorporates a meter built-in.
Another difference is in their use. Both rickshaws and CNGs are best suited to
narrow, crowded streets. Rickshaws are best for brief transportation within the
crowded and unplanned cities. In lower cost, people can travel short distances by
rickshaw where the place is not walkable. Where the CNGs are best for distance
travel within the town. People, having urgency, use the CNGs costing a bit over
the rickshaws'.
Besides design and use variety, rickshaws and CNGs are different in terms of
their speed. Rickshaws are slow vehicles as they go by human peddling whereas
a motor drives the CNGs at enough speed as any transport. Unlike the other
motor-driven transport, CNGs are small in size, and thus, they can easily undergo
the congestion area with its approximately maximum speed saving the passengers
time. Rickshaws are alternative to walking; therefore, it runs faster than walking
to the place where there's nothing alternative to walking and keeps one's time.
In conclusion, it may be said that despite remarkable differences in design, speed

and use, both rickshaws and CNGs are the most popular modes of transportation
in urban life. The vehicles' choice depends on many reasons, including use
variation, speed for urgency, and style safe for traveling.
What Is a Comparison Essay?

A comparison essay analyses how two related subjects are similar or different.
For example, you might select Julius Caesar and Alexander the Great for an
essay on historical military figures. As another example, if your general topic
addresses forms of urban transportation, you could choose to write a
comparison essay on the car and the bicycle.
The subjects that you compare should have some characteristics in common.
These common characteristics must be logical to your readers. For example,
you could write a comparison essay about the differences between a politician
in Britain in 1950 and a military leader in China in the 1700s, but why would
you want to compare the lives of these two people? What do they have in
common?
On the other hand, a comparison essay that addresses the lives of two politicians
or of two military leaders would have a more unified focus and a stronger thesis
because the two subjects would share characteristics in common.
A comparison essay can do one of three things:
• It can say that the two subjects are more different than similar.
• It can say that the two subjects are more similar than different.
• It can show how the two subjects share both similarities and differences.
In other words, your essay may focus on comparing, on contrasting, or on both.
A good thesis statement of a comparison-contrast essay: ThS,

• Mentions both objects/items in the topic/title of the essay.
• States the plan of development of the essay, whether it is about similarities
only, or differences only, or both.
• Mentions the major points of similarities and/or differences.
• Does not pose a question, rather it expresses.
Writing an introduction for a comparison-contrast essay:

• Introduce the objects/items to be compared and/or contrasted.
• Decide whether you want to focus on similarities or differences.
• Write your thesis statement according to your decision.
Fresh Food and Canned Food

We eat various types of food for our survival. Different types of food vary in
their food values and other features. We choose a particular type of food for
many reasons including our tastes, purchasing ability, availability of that food
and its food values. Fresh food and canned food are two major categories of
food which we consume in our everyday life. These food are different mainly in
their flavour, health benefits, and cost.
Read the following three topic sentences:

The most notable difference between these two kinds of food is their flavour.
Fresh food has a great flavour and taste because it keeps all its natural
conditions. Canned food however, is devoid of flavour because there are some
other chemical products added to the natural food. Fresh food is usually
consumed quickly after it has been prepared while canned food is processed and
stored for consumption at a later date. So, the taste and flavour of these food
vary.
Another difference is in health benefits,

Besides flavour and health benefits, canned food and fresh food are different in
terms of their cost. Fresh food is less expensive than canned food. So, people of
all classes cannot buy canned food. Though they are costly, canned food are
available and easy to prepare. On the other hand, fresh food is not always
available and preparing it is time consuming and a lengthy process. Considering
these benefits, people often prefer canned food to fresh food despite their
differences in cost.
In conclusion, we can say that despite remarkable differences in terms of tastes,

health benefits, and price, people consume both canned and fresh food. The
consumption of food depends on many reasons which may include personal
choice and taste, purchasing ability of the consumer, consciousness about
nutrition and health, and of course, availability of food.
