INSTALLING FONTS on DESKTOP MAC & PC

Installing the fonts will ensure the type is properly formatted when you open the templates.

These fonts are free to use for any project!

If you are using a Mac, you can drag the Fonts folder into If you are on a PC, here are more instructions on how to

Once you do this, all the fonts will be active and you can
open up the logo templates and they should be properly
formatted with all the fonts.

INSTRUCTIONS

1) BEFORE opening the Logo Templates: INSTALL ALL FONTS.

2) Open any of the AI templates in Illustrator. (File > Open)

3) Open your Illustrator Layers Panel. (Window > Layers)

4) Use the Type Tool to highlight and edit the text.

5) Open your Character Window (Window > Type > Character).

6) You can change the font to anything you have installed on your

computer.

7) While your text is highlighted, you change the Font Size and

Tracking (letter spacing) to make your replacement text to fit on the

logo shape.

8) Simply select any shape or text element to assign it a new color.
TROUBLESHOOTING
FONTS - If your type looks plain and unformatted, like the example on the left, the fonts that
came with your downloads are not enabled. Make sure to install & activate those fonts so the
templates will look correct when you open up the files.

SCALING PROBLEMS - In your Illustrator General Preferences, make sure to have Scale Corners and Scale
Strokes & Effects both checked. Otherwise, stroke weights and also some corner radius dimensions will
remain constant when you scale up or down your logo.

• If you are still having any scaling problems, you can convert your strokes and type to outlines.
First edit your type. Next, select your logo and go to Object > Expand Appearance. Then select the
logo again and go to Object > Expand. Make sure the Object, Fill, and Stroke options are all checked.
OTHER NOTES
• Feel free to move type & elements around to suit your needs! You can add in your own elements, icons,
etc.

• You can replace the fonts in these templates with any fonts available on your system.
