Your cat has to eat, so the first thing to consider is appropriate cat Some cats prefer eating their food

used to, get both dry and wet food

Dry VS Wet Food couple of weeks after the transition.
Wet food, on the other hand, is more expensive and often used to
prevent dehydration in cats. Wet food also helps with urinary
tract infections in cats.

Instinct Ultimate Protein has a good Ingredient list and there is a
history of cats doing really well
#2 Bowls
Catteries obviously need lots of bowls for water and food
depending how how large your breeding kindle is. But, you
cannot just take whatever bowl you have in your kitchen cabinet.
The ideal food and water bowls for cats are shallow and wide
bowls. These will allow the cat to feed and drink water without
rubbing the whiskers.
Our Recommendation
We use these wall mounted bowls for food. You don't have to worry
about the bowls sliding around, they look nice, easy to clean, and the
cats don't make much of a mess with these!
For water bowls, we use these bowls for our adults. They love to drink running water!
For kittens, we use these anti splash water bowls, because they love to dive into their water bowls and make a
mess of water everywhere! These help reduce that.
#3 Carriers

Kittens needs a smaller tower, we don't want them to fall and hurt themselves. They are wild and fearless! This
tower is also great because it's easy to clean, and kittens can get very messy!
#8 Grooming Kit
Grooming keeps the cat cleaner and helps you remove old hair and dead skin cells. It is an activity with many
benefits. It keeps the fur clean and tidy. Also, by regularly brushing the cat, you'll have fewer problems with cat
hair shedding around on every surface. That way, you can control the shedding and keep your space cleaner.
Every few weeks, clip the cat's nails. It will keep them tidy and prevent injuries. Get a set of cat shampoo and
only wash your cat when it's calm. Don't wet the cat's head because it will make the cat stressed, and you can
ruin the entire process. Also, don't forget to inspect the ears for signs of infections and redness, and remember
to never use cotton Q-Tips when cleaning your cat’s ears, as these can be uncomfortable for the cat. If the cat
isn't calm, even the slightest movement can cause serious harm with a Q-Tip. Therefore, try to find a suitable
ear cleaner and follow the instructions on the product to minimize the risk of injuries.
Start with regular grooming when the cat is still young, so by the time the cat is an adult, they already have
grooming habits!
Our Recommendation
We use this stainless steel comb to do daily grooming of your cats,
This grooming glove is also great for brushing and deshedding, plus it's kind of fun to use!
#9 Birthing Items
Preparing yourself with the proper items to help your queen
with the delivery is a great idea for all breeders. You never
want to go into a delivery unprepared.
You can line your birthing box with puppy pads to keep your
area clean as your queen will bleed and other fluids will
cover her birthing area, puppy pads make for easy clean up.
If you find yourself in the position that you need to handle the newborn kittens, whether it be to help them
out their sacs, or something else, you'll want to have some rubber gloves on hand. We want to keep those
new babies germ free as their immune systems are very weak for the first 2 weeks of their lives.
It is also useful to keep clean rags handy for breaking sacs off the kittens. Once again, you want to make sure
these rags are clean and as free from germs as possible. Sterile rags are ideal.
Sometimes as breeders we are faced with Queens that are not qualified to be mothers, and we have to step
up in her place. Mothers regulate the babies body temperatures for the first several weeks of their lives, as
they are not able to do it on their own. If a mother is not doing this, you will need a heating disc to keep the
babies warm and replace the warmth of the mother. Without the warmth, they will not survive.
It is good to have kitten formula (KMR or Goat Milk) in your cattery as well, in the case that the kittens need
supplementing. This situation can arise from many things. The mother could not be qualified for
motherhood, and be uninterested in caring for her young. You could have a very large litter, and your queen
may not have enough teets to give them all adequate milk, or some may not be able to fit their way to a teet,
or sometimes, kittens just start losing weight and need some extra love.
It's helpful to give your queens calcium supplements while they are pregnant. This will help them during
labor and delivery.

#10 Medical / Pharmacy
In our cattery, we believe in being your own vet. No, this
doesn't mean never taking your cat to the vet. But it does
mean seeing the symptoms that you cat might be
experiencing and knowing what to treat with them. If things
don't get better, then it's time to phone a vet.

It is also helpful to have a play pen to help contain your

so they can explore a little bit more of the room, but still
be kept safe while they are still young.
It can be hard to find a vet as a breeder, as many vets look down on breeders, sadly. This is actually a topic we
have talked about in our Judgement Free Cat Breeder Community. Lots of breeders have shared their
experiences in dealing with vets, and how they found the vet that works best for them! Join our group to get
some insight on finding a reliable vet, and you might even find someone in your area that can refer you to a vet
they work with.
Once you join, check under topics for #vet. You can also ask your own questions! We have lots of friendly
breeders ready to help!
Optional Items to Get for
Your Cat
Here are three things you can buy to ease life with your
pet. But, unlike the things from the previous list, these are
optional!
Calming Diffuser
Calming diffusers release vapors with calming pheromones
for cats. These vapors don't contain drugs, and they help
them deal with stress and calm.
Some vets also recommend them for cats that cannot get
used to using cat litter boxes.
These products also help cats cope with general stress and
make the cat feel happy all the time.
Instead, you can buy non-toxic cleaners for multiple surfaces, including carpets, mattresses, sofas,
hardwood floors, etc. They can also help you remove stains.
These cleaners are also a must-have for cats with any medical issues or young kittens who seem to
struggle with using the litter box.
Also, these cleaners help cancel the unpleasant odors and can be a quick fix when accidents happen!
