Using brown, stitch the two sides of the head together. Using zig-zag (Z) or cross (X) stitches, they do
not need to be neat or even. Be sure to pull the stitches tight so there are no gaps between the head
pieces. When you have about an inch or so left open, stuff the head firmly, but do not over stuff. Then
finish stitching the head together. The seam will go vertically, between the button eyes which should be
placed about six stitches apart. Three stitches below the eyes, use brown to sew on a wide zig-zag grin
across the face. Sew the ears on top of the head about 8 stitches above the eye, with about 6 rounds
separating them.

2-3.) CH 1, turn, SC x5, FO, weave in ends.

ASSEMBLY:

Directions for the head are included right under the head pattern.

BODY: Stuff the body firmly, but not so full that it stretches out the stitches. Try to keep the bottom
flatter while stuffing to help Kitty be able to sit upright. Sew head to body through both tan & orange
layers, using tan yarn. CH 30 with tan and tie around the neck leaving the little ends to hang down.

LEGS: Stuff legs, full, but not firm. Sew the legs to the body in a line with the eyes, the bottom of the leg
should be sewn on at round 5-6.

ARMS: Stuff the paws, then very lightly stuff the arms. Flatten the open end, place arms on the side of
the body, directly below the head somewhat under the ears, sew through both layers. Make sure the
top of the arms are slightly under the collar, don't sew them over top of the collar. The paws should rest
nicely between the legs.

TAIL: Do not stuff the tail. Sew tail to the butt, with the underside sewn at the same round as the
bottoms of the legs.

PATCHES: Using brown yarn, stitch one patch on the top of the left leg and the other patch to the right
back side.

SUCKER: Make 2 pieces, you will crochet them together at the end of the 2nd piece. I used a brighter
color of orange than I used for the body, but that color choice is up to you. You will be working this part
of the pattern in rows. The CH 1 does not count as 1st ST.

1.) CH 5, turn, SC 4
2.) CH 1, turn, INC, SC x2, INC (6)

3.) CH 1, turn, INC, SC x4, INC (8)

4.) CH 1, turn, INC, SC x4 (6)

5.) CH 1, turn, SC x5, INC (7)

6.) CH 1, turn, INC, SC x5 (7)

7.) CH 1, turn, SC x6, INC (8)

8-10.) CH 1, turn, SC across (8)

11.) CH 2, turn, SC into 2nd CH from hook and into the next 8 ST (9)

12.) CH 1, turn, DEC, SC x6 (7)

13.) CH 1, turn, DEC, SC x3, DEC (5)

14.) CH 1, turn, DEC, SC x3 (4)

15.) CH 3, turn, SC into 2nd ST from hook, SC x3, DEC (5)

16.) CH 1, turn, DEC, SC x3, CH 2, HDC back into bottom of last ST (4 ST with a CH2+HDC at the end)

Here you will FO for the first piece, and weave in your ends. You will pick up with round 17 at the end of
the 2nd piece.

17.) CH 1, turn, holding both pieces together, you are going to SC through both layers, around the edge.
SC x2 into each point and skip each inward point, you should get approximately 48 SC. FO, weave in the
end. For the face, you need a long strand of black yarn. You will be working your stitches through both
sides, so keep an eye on the back side to make sure you are keeping all of the stitches looking the same
as the front. The mouth is a zig-zag across the bottom (I made mine 2 stitches thick, this way I could
work it across then back while keeping both sides of the mouth looking similar. About 3-4 rows above
the mouth, you will do the same for the eye, stitching on a single triangle shape. Very carefully, weave
your black ends inside the orange, trying to keep them from showing through and using a stuffing stick
or large needle, poke the little ends back inside as well. For the stick, you will want something thin
enough that you can work it up through the bottom of the sucker, between the layers. Try to push it up
close to the eye to make sure it will hold well (at least 2 inches) (I used some cheap wooden skewer
sticks that were given to me for crafts). Carefully use a pen or pencil to mark the spot on the stick, right
at the bottom of the sucker. Pull stick back out for the next part. Using black and orange yarn held
together & glue (I used hot glue), attach both strands at the mark you made and spiral them down the
stick until you reach the length you want and then cut & secure the strands at the bottom. (Glue as you
go, mine is about 4.5 inches, not counting the 2" that goes inside the sucker). Push the stick back in
between the two orange layers and your sucker is done.
