NARRATIVE REPORT ON PARENTS’ ORIENTATION

July 27, 2024

The Opening Remarks

The parents' orientation for the school opening commenced with a patriotic display of
unity and pride through the singing of the National Anthem. A heartfelt thanksgiving
prayer followed, invoking divine guidance and blessings for the upcoming school
year. This solemn beginning set a respectful and positive tone for the event.

A Warm Welcome and Engagement

Sir Dynasty E. De Leon, Head of the English Department, extended a warm
welcome to the parents, expressing his appreciation for their continued support and
partnership in the school's endeavors. Recognizing the importance of creating a
positive and engaging atmosphere, a Zumba session was conducted. This energetic
activity served as a fun and interactive way for parents to connect with each other
and alleviate any potential tension or anxiety.

Informative Sessions and Updates

Mam Marjorie, the guidance counselor, provided valuable information about the
Kasunduan, a document outlining the school's policies and expectations for both
students and parents. This ensured that everyone was aware of their roles and
responsibilities within the school community.
Sir Dynasty E. De Leon again took the stage, this time to seek parental support for
the journalism program. He emphasized the importance of financial assistance in
enhancing the program's activities and resources, highlighting the potential benefits
for students' development and skills.
PTA Treasurer Malou Mallari, presented a transparent financial report, detailing the
100 peso PTA donation per student and the total amount collected per grade level.
Her report aimed to build trust and confidence among parents, encouraging their
continued support for the school through the PTA.

Addressing Concerns and Providing Updates

Sir Sajid S. Eliang, Principal IV, addressed various concerns related to students and
the upcoming school year. He discussed the DepEd's Matatag Curriculum, a new
educational framework designed to enhance learning outcomes. He also explained
the 45-minute time allotment per subject, a significant change that would affect the
daily schedule. Additionally, he introduced the National Math Program, a
supplementary initiative aimed at improving students' mathematical skills.
The principal further provided updates on the DepEd's programs and activities,
including the school year's beginning and end dates, the mid-year break, the

which outlined the key events and assessments throughout the year. This included
the NCAE and NAT, the PEPT, the Phil IRI for English and Filipino and Mathematics
Assessment, National Teachers' Day, and the 1st quarter exam.

To provide a comprehensive overview, Sir Sajid shared the total number of students
enrolled as of August 1, 2024. This information gave parents a sense of the school's
population and the specific grade levels their children would be part of.
