Self-Assessment Questions
Answer the following questions to help you find out if a course is right for you.
1. What are the recommended velocity limits for liquid and gas pipelines, and
why is it important to adhere to these limits?
2. For Acid gas sweetening process which property package in hysys provide
better results and what should be the damping factor for the amine
contactor and regenerator?
3. List and explain the relevant codes and standards governing the design and
sizing of pressure relief valves?
4. What factors should be considered in heat exchanger design?
5. What are the primary criteria for selecting a cooling tower type for a
specific application?
6. How are control valve characteristics classified, and what are their typical
applications?
7. What are the primary stages involved in conducting a HAZOP study?
8. What are the advantages and disadvantages of fixed tube-sheet and U-tube
heat exchanger designs?
9. What are the key factors influencing the selection between a globe valve
and a butterfly valve for control valve applications?
10.What are the primary stages involved in conducting a C&E study?

Please conduct an honest self-assessment by assigning a score of 1 to each

question. If the sum of your scores is less than 6, it is recommended that you
consider taking the course. If the total score falls between 6 to 8, we suggest
consulting with us for further guidance. If your total score is more than 8, we
believe you may not need to take this course.
