    Windows 10 Upgrade for


    Panasonic CF-19 Toughbook
    Reference: NPIB/20-005b

    Attention: Service Managers and Parts Managers

    Please follow the steps below for Windows 10 upgrade.

    1. You may be able to upgrade your Panasonic CF-19 Toughbook to Windows 10 without having to reinstall
    ASIST or CONSULT-III plus software.

    a. The following table will help you determine if your CF-19 is upgradable to Windows 10.

    b. ASIST and CONSULT-III plus software support will continue on Windows 7 OS but upgrading is
    highly recommended to Windows 10 if your CF-19 is upgradable.

    2. Locate the bar-code label (Model Number) on the bottom of your Toughbook and match your “CF”
    Number to the following chart. Then check the column “Can Upgrade to Windows 10” to determine if your
    CONSULT is upgradeable.

    3. Instructions for upgrading your CF-19 to Windows 10

    a. Navigate to the following Microsoft website.

    b. Click “Update now” (if not available, click “Download tool now”) to begin the process. The download and
    installation will take approximately 2-3 hours.

    or

    4. After Windows upgrade completes, reboot the PC with internet connection to auto install the
    updated drivers.
    5. Open the ASIST Synchronizer and click “Manual Update” to sync ASIST to current date
    and time.

    6. Follow the steps below to calibrate the touch screen


    a. Click [Start] – [Window Systems] - [Control Panel] - [Hardware and Sound] – [Calibrate the screen
    for pen or touch input].
    b. Click [Calibrate] – [Touch input].
    c. Using the stylus, touch each of the "+" target marks one by one, and then click [Yes] to save the
    calibration data.

    7. Reinstall the SVG viewer. Locate the “SVGView.exe” file at Drive C:\asist\tools and double click the file to
    install.

    8. Panasonic CF-19 with Windows 10 is now ready to use.
