Months
1 Spray VCI oil into suction scrubber during run test for minimum of 5 mins.
Remove air filters and spray 2 ounces of VCI oil in intake, turning engine at cranking

speed.
3 Ensure engine oil is drained and all external filters are drained.
4 Ensure engine oil drain valves and external filter drain valves are shut.
6 Ensure engine crankcase vents are plugged with OEM plug or valve is shut.
7 Ensure oil level external vents are plugged or taped shut with preservation tape.
Remove compressor vents and pour appropriate amount of VCI oil, conclude with

placement of adequate size plug and tag.
Ensure engine air intake and exhaust are sealed with manufacturer cover or equivalent

measure. Add 2 ounces of VCI oil to exhaust prior to covering.
11 Plug all water and oil skid connections with plastic plugs.All process with steel plugs.
12 Add 2 ounces of VCI oil to all skid edge connections other than coolant.
Ensure all process and fuel system drains and vents are closed and sealed according.

14 Cover all flanged openings on scrubbers prior to adding VCI oil per step 29.
Ensure all engine harness cables from ECM module, magneto, ignition control module
15 and coil connectors are coated with dielectric grease and sealed according.. (Loose
cables are to be bagged and secured in an upright position when applicable)
Disconnect battery terminals inside battery box and add grease to terminals, ensure box

cover is secure and installed properly.
18 Remove battery from panel annunciator, bag and secure inside the panel.
19 Panel glass doors are to be reversed and placed facing inside when possible.
21 Add 2 fluid ounces of VCI oil into blow case.( ensure drain and vents are shut).
22 Add 4 ounces of VCI oil either through vent tube or covers on distance piece.
All break-out wire connections will be bagged and properly secured in an upright

position.
All open-end conduit runs will be plugged or sealed within a plastic bag due to wire
24
runs.
Remove plug in suction nozzle of cylinder or pull valves to add 4 fluid oz. of VCI oil (if
25
applicable)
Remove plug on discharge nozzle of cylinder or thermowell to add 4 fluid oz. of VCI oil
26
(if applicable)
Remove plug in suction bottle per cylinder or pull valves to add 4 fluid oz. of VCI oil (if
27
applicable)
28 Remove plug or thermowell or in discharge bottle or pipe to add 4 fluid oz. of VCI oil.
29 Remove a plug above the each scrubber mist pad and add 4 fluid oz. of VCI oil
Remove top plug of scrubber sight glass or plug in scrubber to add 4 fluid oz. of VCI oil

(if applicable).
31 If unit has an instrument header, add 4 fluid oz. of VCI oil and plug or cap off.
32 Add 4 fluid oz.of VCI oil into fuel scrubber sight glass or via plug. (if applicable)
33 Wrap all compressor ship loose parts with cosmoline and ocean wrap. (If applicable)
34 Add 1 fluid oz. of VCI oil into relief header or outlet pipe.
35 Add Anti-seize grease to all end device threaded caps and engine jack bolts.
36 Add 6 fluid oz. of VCI oil into each process stage on either side of the cooler sections.
37 Wrap exposed lubricator pump parts with cosmoline then cover with preservation tape.
Remove plug on CE and HE of cylinder or remove suction valves to add 2 fluid oz. of

VCI oil in bore & chamber.
39 Spray engine sheave with WD-40, wrap with cosmoline and ocean wrap.( If applicable)
40 Pull plug on engine intake manifold and add 2 fluid oz. of VCI oil then re-plug.
Spray cooler sheave with WD-40, wrap with cosmoline and shrink wrap, then cover with
41 foil tape.
Place a notification inside control panel, instructing to drain preservation oil from engine
and compressor prior to filling. With additional statement to remove tape from engine
42 air intake housing and Cosmoline warp on lubricator pump prior to start-up.
(Notification will also include to drain preservation oil from lube-box and re-fill along
with desiccant bags on process greater than 6 months.
44 Take sight glass off and gauge cocks off and store in the back of the panel box
45 Pull 1/4" plug on relief valves and add 1 fluid oz. of VCI oil and re-plug. ( if applicable).
46 Pull 1/4" plug on fuel line and add 2 fluid oz. of VCI oil and re-plug.
Pull engine pre-lube pump exhaust line and pour 2 fluid oz. into the pump and re-

connect.
Add desiccant bags to the inside of the control panel, engine junction boxes, and engine's
48
air intake housing and level control boxes.
50 Panels with glass, gauges and end devices should be bubble wrapped for protection.
All small ship-loose items that can be corroded, will be wrapped in cosmoline and ocean
51
wrap.Ship loose valves shall be preserved and flanges covered with plastic covers.
52 Cover all flange openings with metal plates and ocean wrap. ( if requested ).
