Name: Date:

Section: Teacher: Score:

Purpose
This activity aims to strengthen the unique personality of each learner by reflecting
on the qualities that make them different from their classmates.

Instructions
1. Write an essay about five qualities that make you a different individual from
the rest of your classmates.
2. Provide an explanation why these qualities make you unique from others.
3. Compose your own title for the essay.
4. At the end of your essay, make a conclusion about why each person is
different.

Example

Beautifully and Wonderfully Made

Beauty is said to be in the eyes of the beholder, making it subjective on who

judges beauty. I can say that I am beautiful in my own way because this is me, and
no matter how the world describes me, they cannot exclude the fact that who I am
gives meaning to this world.

I am strong, independent, friendly, creative, and kind. Whether by physical

strength or when it comes to emotion, indeed, I am strong. I can encourage my

friends who are lonely and sorrowful. I can do things without or with less
supervision. To tell you the truth, I can even travel to cities like Manila on my own.
It’s good to travel and explore things alone sometimes to have new experiences. I
can always start a conversation and make someone feel that he or she belongs to
the group. I am also a friend when someone needs a shoulder to cry on. The water
brush paintings you always see in the classroom are my works of art. That is how I
express myself. I am the type of person who loves to share what I have, especially
with those who are in need. Others may share these same qualities, but we are two
different people who show these qualities differently. I am unique because nobody
can be who I am.

You and I should not be the same. Otherwise, how can we enjoy the world
around us if there are no differences in the meaning we give to this world? Let us
savor these differences and make this world a joyful place to live in.
