(1) Quality control inspection of the fit up of 14” Sch 160  Confirmed installation of HEA140 L-TYPE pipe
class #1500, carbon steel line 300-S-51001-151502 XHP oil support on steel along PR 5. Installation is in
spool filling and capping completed today – Weld joint progress.
Visually Accepted.
 CIVIL WORKS IN CPF:
(2) Inspection checks on the fitup of 14” Sch 160 class #1500,
carbon steel flange to pipe rot and hot pas completed filling GRE FIRE WATER VALVE PITS
and capping to be completed tomorrow.  Confirmed manual excavation of the sixth GRE
firewater valve pit in CPF, behind the GNC pipe

welding team via temporary power supply in and around
the installed habitat at GNC pipe rack 4 area.

SURFACE PREPARATIONS :-
The Surface preparations of the 6No. CS pipes were done
using power brush and clean rags.
Degree of cleanliness = Sa 3.0.

PRIMING -
The priming of the above cleaned pipes were done with the
application of Epoxy Grey (Parts A & B) primer (Berger
Product).
Mixing Ratio = Part A : Part B = 3 :1(by vol).
Av. DFT =120microns.

From the results of the tests conducted and visual


inspections the Coating operations were certified okay.

NEGATIVE - Contractor is always in the habit of violating SPDC
OBSERVATION equipment/material Inspection procedure by intentionally evading
formal notification to SPDC QC rep at site of intended
inspection/testing through issuance of RFI. Contractor electrical QC
advised to stop further practice.
- HV Cable Trench yet to be properly maintained and dewatered.
- Cable yet to be tagged as per project specification and procedure.
- PMS bound control cables yet to be properly arranged along the tray
route
- PMS cable tray installation yet to be completed along the tray route.
- Red Oxide primer supplied was of substandard and as such was
rejected.
- The absence of Red Oxide Primer are seriously affecting our Coating
operations since we cannot do surface preparations without priming
within the period of 3hrs.
- Red Oxide primer supplied was of substandard and as such was
rejected.
- The absence of Red Oxide Primer are seriously affecting our Coating

- In view of the above it was resolved to be priming the 100mn x 6.0m
