Internship Policy

1. The Internship (Basic) facility is available to all the students of Government Polytechnic
Nagpur through ONE INTERNSHIP TO ONE STUDENT
2. If students face any difficulty or have any queries, they should contact their department
coordinator of T&P cell only.
3. Any student, who has received Internship offer letter, must inform their departmental
TnP coordinator and department TnP coordinator must inform the same to Placement
office and submit the photocopy of the same in person or through the mail
tpo@gpnagpur.ac.in immediately.
4. A nice ambience should be maintained by the students during the Internship program.
5. Any behavior bringing dishonor to the Institute will not be tolerated and strict action will
be taken against such students.
6. Students should follow professional etiquettes. If found guilty, such students will be
disqualified from further internship activity.
7. Any breach of these rules shall lead to the student getting debarred from the internship
process.
8. Students should be ready to go outside of Nagpur for their internship.
9. One student-one company internship rule shall befollowed strictly.

I Rationale:

The Basic Internship course provides diploma students in engineering with a


four-week summer vacation internship opportunity after the second
semester. The internship encompasses various inter/intra-institutional
activities aimed at skill development, innovation, and professional growth.
Students engage in practical experiences within institutional settings and are
evaluated based on their daily activities documented in a diary.

II Industry Identified Competency:


The Student will be able to do in Industry at entry level:
Apply theory, engage in diverse learning, develop soft skills, document,
and present internship experiences.

III Course Outcomes (COs):


After completing this course students will be able to:
CO1: Apply theoretical knowledge in practical engineering challenges.

CO2: Participate in trainings, conferences, workshops, competitions, and


institutional laboratories work to enhance learning.
CO3: Develop essential soft skills through training, workshops, conferences,
competitions, and institutional laboratories work.

CO4: Prepare daily diaries and internship report for evaluation by faculty
mentors.
