    Program Title: Indigenous Peoples Cum United Nations Organization

    Month Celebration
    Target Dates: October 18-29, 2021
    Proposed Venue/Mode: Online Platform (Youth Formation Facebook Page)
    Background/ Rationale:
    In line with the proclamation No.1906, s.2009,
    Department of Education aims to observe National
    Indigenous Peoples Day. This year 2021 highlights the
    courage towards humanity and ingenuity of human nation’s
    ancestors. This Challenge IP communities to exercise their
    rights and reiterates the call of nation to respect dignity, and
    promote peace worldwide.

    This month of October, we are also celebrating the


    United Nation Day with the theme “Recovering better for
    sustainable and Equitable World” to strengthen the ideals
    of peace as we heal from COVID-19 pandemic. This is to
    inspire and help everyone recover and transform our world
    into equal , equitable, inclusive and healthier world.

    Hence, the celebration of Indigenous People Day and


    International Day of Peace is encouraging us to think
    creatively and critically as we spread respect, peace human
    kindness and hope in the face of pandemic.

    To recognize and appreciate cultural diversity learners


    and teachers are encourage to participate and enjoy the
    different contest activities like poster making contest, and
    UN Cultural Attire photography (students and teachers
    category).

    Objectives: At the end of the activity, the students shall be able to:
    A. raise greater awareness to cultural heritage, practices
    and rights to education; and
    B. promote peace and solidarity against COVID- 19
