Writing Paper: Task – 2

The topic:

More and more people are finding it increasingly important to wear fashionable clothes.

Is this attitude to wearing clothes a positive or negative development?

Essay:

Wearing fashionable clothes are/is important in many countries, namely/such as Italy, France, ect.
Nowadays people like to wear modern and stylish clothes, especially, they prefer comfortable clothes.

There are some pros and cons/benefits and drawbacks of wearing fashionable clothes. Some people have to
wear these kind/kinds of clothes for their job. For example, if they working/work in a big and fashion/fashionable
company these people need to wear stylish uniforms.

Firstly, I want to write about the positive aspects to/of wearing fashionable clothes. In my opinion, when a

person wear/wears stylish clothes they feel useful (?), beautiful and fashionable. By the way, started/they start their
day positively. Most people think that wearing stylish/stylishly is so important and they try to increase their fashion
knowledge. They try to watch fashion programmes, they prefer to read magazines about fashion. Therefore they get
more information about fashion which they need.

By the way, we can also say/talk about the disadvantages of wearing fashionable clothes. Some people like
to wear comfortable, sport/athletic clothes. They never mind that/whether their clothes are stylish or not. They only
prefer to seem accurately/accurate rather than stylish. Most people think that if they wearing/are fashionable, they
will feel discomfort. For example, if the person work/works in a factory or in different places, they need and also
prefer to wear comfortable clothes. They think that wearing fashionable and stylish garments is not important for
them. These people feel better wearing sport/athletic outfits than wearing stylish ones.

In conclusion, I want to say that wearing fashionable or comfortable — these are the people's choice. How
they feel good, they have to wear like this/that style. Nowadays nearly 40% of people like to wear stylish/stylishly
and fashionable/fashionably, but 60% of people like to wear sport/sporty and comfortable clothing.

Total: 276 words – perfect range

Tips:

1) When using “namely”, you have to name them all. In this case, we have to use “such as” and separate it from the
sentence using colons on both sides.

2) The grammar needs particular care, especially if they are glaring ones.

3) More synonyms are welcome — in lieu of repeating the words, such as “stylish/fashionable” or “clothes”, you
are expected to use their counterparts.

Writing Paper: Task – 1

The topic: The bar chart shows the number of foreign students in Canada between 2000-2030

Essay:

This bar chart illustrated/illustrates the numbers of foreign students who study in foreign
countries between 2000 and 2030 years.

There are four countries in the graph: China, India, USA and France. There are
showing/shown the amount of foreign students for several years.

Foreign students studied in China 75% in 2010, in India, the USA and France there were 20%

foreign students in 2010. In 2000 year/the year 2000, there was approximately the same amount

as 20%.

By the way, in this bar chart shows that in 2030 years foreign students will be/is projected to
be higher in China than in the USA. In India and France the foreign students will be/is expected
to be the average amount in the 2030s. The number of foreign students in the USA are the same
all these years: 2000,2010,2020,2030s years. There are 15% foreign students studied/studying
these years.

Notes:

1) Total: 128 words. It’s below the limit of 150 words. It lowers the T.A (task achievement) score
dramatically.

2) Please, be careful with the grammar.

3) Using the sentence structures from sample essays will certainly help.
